What's new

This Islamic Fatwa Just Declared That Playing ‘PUBG’ Is Haraam And We’re Officially Landing In Pochi

And this is why Mullah's are a scourge ... really?! This, out of all the other pressing issues in our society, THIS is what these idiots have time to study and pass Fatwa's on?!

Please keep in mind that the mullahs claim such all-encompassing authority by virtue of the claim that Islam is a complete system of life that governs all of its aspects in their entirety.

According to a lot of people it helps them fight depression/anxiety etc it works like a therapy for them. For others it's just their hobby like some have collecting coins fixing old cars etc. Besides that video games are a great story tellers take Witcher, RDR series, Last Of Us etc for an example.
there would be few creative game. I have zero ideas about gaming because never fond of it but I do see my younger brother always staring at mobile screen which often frustrate people around him because all his concertation is on gaming ..For me its boring, just waste of time, money and escaping from reality if spend a lot of time in fantasy land ..better talk to people in real life, go to gym, swim, pick a book etc than interacting with computer screen but then that's how I see it ..It might be different for those who love gaming

Make all religious instructors state employees. They would need to graduate with certain degrees to become a mullah and they would be paid a government wage. These people have made the religion a joke.

Not only fighting depression etc, but games like Age Of Empires, Rise of Nations, and Medieval Total war actually made me more interested in history, general knowledge and gave me a good understanding of mountain warfare. :lol:Several studies have actually shown that such games improve 'Cognitive Flexibility'.

No doubt that too much of anything will have an adverse affect on your well being, but for me, it had the opposite affect. Everything I learnt about in games, I then went on to study separately as a hobby, such as history, geography, languages etc.

People are always quick to label new things as harmful, without understanding all the pros and cons of it.

Not that big of a fan of Battle Royale games
People who love these games should hook their kids on to them from early age (3+ onwards should do) ... and then watch what happens to them after 10 years of playing such games without any restrictions.

Ironic that those here who see nothing wrong in these grossly violent games are anti-guns pseudo liberal burgers:omghaha:
Um there are different games for different age groups . Also there is a difference between on-screen violence and real life

You don't let children play modded skyrim
On second thought you don't let anyone play your modded skyrim :D @The Sandman

This is so true for me haha i had no idea of world's geography until i played Empire Total War. I had no idea nor interest in any military terms but than i played Hearts of Iron III from where i learned what unit hierarchy is what is a corps, division etc. I didn't knew that "Hashashins" existed until i played Assassins Creed. i'm not boasting or anything but today i have a little bit of knowledge on starting up an F18 i can go on  and people say games are nothing but a waste of time & money. Btw did you know there was a country called "tannu tuva"?

Same here same here  i love searching up on legends/myths/mysteries after playing games that feature such things.

Esp in Pakistan whenever our elders hear the word "games" they instantly think of something evil and say "Beta in cheezon pe waqt mat barbad kya karo" before i used to give a counter argument but now i just say ok.:cry:

Never played it the graphics, character animations and controls always put me off bethesda's games in general are terrible only one i loved is "Evil Within" series tho it suffered from performance issues. Other one was Wolfenstein again terrible performance at one point it just crashed and never worked for me both of these were merely published by bethesda but that's how strong their curse is.

how many things are you gonna put a fatwa on than?
Any addiction has the potential to destroy one's life and an addict should seek help and an addict is the last person who believes he has a problem
A fatwa is not necessary but raising awareness about the issue is

Totally agree.

Agree here too but this molana shb should be worried about real actual problems that is plaguing our country where teenagers are addicted to actual drugs child abuse issue in madrassa rather than cooking up conspiracy theories about a video game that very tiny minority of people play in our country at least.
