What's new

This is what happens when you blame India for human rights violation in UN !

.
But as a human rights member it is now incumbent on india to respect the reports findings and free the suffering Kashmiris
currently the hr bar is set by the likes of saudi arabia, the democratic republic of congo, egypt, the peoples republic of china, and venzuela, i think we far surpass that bar.

LOL you threw a monkey wrench into their celebration plans. Everything was going like it was Diwali and you told them that Pakistan is already a member.
the point is the overwhelming majority of un members have ignored the so-called human rights violations india has committed against kashmiris, a major diplomatic loss for pakistan. Plus india got elected by a larger margin than pakistan, further undermining Pakistan's case against india.

UN doesn't agree with US on multifarious issues, but US holds VETO. Highlighting India's crime against humanity is one thing and blocking India's bid for UNCHR another, I doubt if Pakistan ever took it upon itself as a challenge to prevent India's entry to UNCHR. Indians euphoric retort over Pakistan's "Diplomatic failure" is only a make-believe romp for self gratification.

My point was indias landslide election shows the majority of countries do not buy pakistans propaganda, including muslim countries.

And my point was that Indian inclusion on the human rights body wont compel the world to ignore Indian crimes against humanity. US as a world power faces staunch criticism from UN, using the seat at a UN body India wont be able to conceal its transgressions.

Except for the most part, countries do ignorw India's supposed "human rights violations." It is only Paksitan that makes a fuss about them.

A comprehensive report prepared by UN OHCHR differs with your Indian narrative.
First-ever UN human rights report on Kashmir calls for international inquiry into multiple violations
“It is essential the Indian authorities take immediate and effective steps to avoid a repetition of the numerous examples of excessive use of force by security forces in Kashmir,” Zeid said.
The main focus of the report is the human rights situation in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir from July 2016 - when large and unprecedented demonstrations erupted after Indian security forces killed the leader of an armed group - to April 2018.

Indian security forces used excessive force that led to unlawful killings and a very high number of injuries, the report says, citing civil society estimates that up to 145 civilians were killed by the security forces between mid-July 2016 and the end of March 2018, with up to 20 other civilians killed by armed groups in the same period.

One of the most dangerous weapons used against protesters in 2016 – and which is still being employed by security forces – was the pellet-firing shotgun. According to official figures, 17 people were killed by shotgun pellets between July 2016 and August 2017, and 6,221 people were injured by the metal pellets between 2016 and March 2017. Civil society organizations believe that many of them have been partially or completely blinded.

And how many countries actually took that report seriously? Were there any resolutions passed condemning India? In fact, many countries even condemned the report

Just like pak assisted in Human Rights efforts in Balochistan? Lol.
And no one believes the word of pakistan on any international stage.

LOL you threw a monkey wrench into their celebration plans. Everything was going like it was Diwali and you told them that Pakistan is already a member.
OFC u are, each country gets to be one. The difference is with how many votes. Pak got 151 votes in 2017, India got 188 out of 193. That's the point.
Know the difference.
