In a controversial yet daring social experiment, the people at YesNoMaybe hired a car with blacked out windows and parked it in a secluded area. Then, they set up a pre-recorded audio byte to play on loop inside the car, in which a woman is screaming for help and is being intimidated and quite possibly, raped by a group of goons.

A chill will run down your spine as you watch how a few people reacted when they were confronted with the situation. Forget intervening directly, they did not even think of calling the Police! How unfeeling and apathetic can we truly be?

But not everyone was an uncaring monster. The reactions of a small group of heroes will restore your faith in humanity. Our greatest respects to the hero right at the end, who proved all you need to make a change, is courage.

For the longest time, the Editorial Team at ScoopWhoop was not convinced about running this. We could not decide whether this was in bad taste or a necessary social intervention. In the end, we decided it's important that we all see what some of us have turned into; emotionless zombies who just don’t give a **** as long as it’s not happening to them or someone they love.

But the 70+ year old man didnt seem to mind...nor did the Sikh man! If you can walk away just coz police will take 5 hrs of your time then there is seriously something wrong with society's thinking....

Is 5hrs more important than the life of a girl being raped? Just a question....I understand stupid police gives a tough time but one should do his part first then if the police causes pain then complain about the police

My cousin once told me he found a kid who had been hit by a car...the kid was on the road and people just passing by...My cousin took him to the hospital but the kid died and police did give him a headache but he was more shocked about the ignorance of the people....

Not everybody (in fact, very few people) would be brave enough to try and rescue another person from several attackers. Real life is not like a bollywood movie, and the hero wouldn't necessarily end up saving the day or the girl. He would very likely be putting himself in mortal danger, unless he was a trained fighter or at least carrying a weapon.

But not even calling the police or trying to get help, that is pathetic behaviour. That much is expected of any decent human being.

We don't usually see police men in our area (Ichhra, Lahore) instead of the entering area of bazar where 2 or sometimes more with mobile can bee seen.
Sometimes you will also see some of police men riding motorcycles in ferozpur road, cant, GOR I, II, III, mall road and gulberg but you will not see them in Shadman, Fazlia, Shah Jamal, Wahdat Road, Dharampura and not even in Johar Town and other such areas where you will see crowd of people.

The police should make sure that this thing don't happen and don't give a chance to citizens to help such people.

After the recent events in the last year, even the last dick head officer should know that it will have consequences if they do nothing.... at least in the more urban areas.
