Mrityunjay is right veer. SP garners more of the Yadav and Muslim vote in UP. Its BSP that gets much of the Dalit vote.

You took me wrong. If eveyone is doing that what is so special in BSP?
My point was, BSP is not doing anything for dalits. Building statues won't help anyone's problem. The money which was spent on this, could be well utilised in other areas such as education, medical facilities etc. etc. Bottom line is, BSP is no different from others.

I can give another example. Whenever SP is in power, class 10 and 12 results comes out too good. Whenever BJP was ruling, it was too low. You are free to conclude.

What you said could have two meanings-
a) SP fudged data or lowered pass percentages and BJP didn't
b) SP actually improved education levels (i doubt it as education doesn't improve as fast as a govt's term lasts, real tangible improvements will take more than 5 years to show) and BJP didn't

Not both....however they just did not took any stern action against cheating. On the other hand, BJP was particularly strict about it. They even invoked "Nakal Adhyadesh" (Gazette against cheating) which was stern in nature. This was removed by other parties (not sure who)...

During Mulayam Raj the passing perc. Suddenly jumped into 80s from 30s in last year thanks to "International NAKAL Mahotsav" in which we hosted student form Orisa, Maharshtra,WB,Haryan and even Nepal.
I could be in state merit list that year with 80+ marks (Any one who studied from U.P. Board do know how hard is to grab the marks in comparison of CBSE board where 90 + is Common ) but policies of the Mulayam govt forced me to be ordinary
