The Real Pakistan

.
Hey man thank you for this video now i wana go for a joy ride in pakistan

.
Mohenendaro, the Pakistani civilization, appears to be more advanced than some areas in Pakistan today. The irony.

.
Hahahaha this is such BS! In the 2nd video ...

"Due to the political and economic stability as well as sound government policies..."

Wow this fool in the video really chooses to ignore the grim reality.

Here is something I posted in a previous thread...Here's some truth.

Pakistan has very bad governance record throughout the decade. We have had leader's that mismanage the country's money, a roller coaster ride with foreign investment, bad economic policies (though PM S.Aziz did try privatization of the private sector)...We have had bombings in our country that frighten foreign investors...Our rupee tumbles down in value, bad education and school quality, poor health care infrastructure...High inflation....Problem after problem after problem...

This is why many Pakistanis sadly have to leave their home country and move to the West...Because there is little opportunity in Pakistan, even for a University educated student it is difficult to find a good career...

Many of the streets are dusty and dirty, we still have donkeys and horses riding on the roads in many towns and the animals leave their excrement on the road, this can easily cause an outbreak of viruses and diseases, when it rains in many parts of Pakistan the flood waters easily rise because there is no proper draining system, when you go to the bazaar there are so many flies flying around the food...

Now we also have these power/energy shortages were the electricity is cut off every two hours or so...

Indeed these are hard times and shameful times...

This is just one dark side of Pakistan...

Quite frankly I know the truth and don't care what any of you think about what I just said.

just because there is dirt on the ground doesnt mean the country is not industralized
do u know how much depression and diseases the international cities give out to their poplulation?
i have a god example infront of myself:
NEW YORK CITY
the draining system i can understand and the flies are all natural
god put them there for a reason :azn:
to tell u the truth natural places really help a person's health out
there should be a rule that atleast 40% of a city or province should be all natural with no concrete sidwalks and etc

Ooo Yeah and that great tasting fresh and natural air pollution in Lahore:agree: Very natural indeed...

Alright now the rakshaws and the vehicles who are releasing this very toxic pollution into the air cause tremendous pollution.

The animal waste on the road is highly unsanitary and despicable, the flies landing on the food and sweets in the bazaar is unsanitary and unhealthy (since you care about "really help a person's health out") maybe you should consider this...

Also what about the frequent traffic congestion and chaos, Pakistan needs more traffic lights, in many parts of Pakistan there are none most of them are in the major cities...This chaotic traffic is a nuisance and the problem must be addressed.

What about the fact that no one is required to possess a legal license to drive a vehicle, this is very dangerous as it allows young inexperience people to drive on our chaotic roads, not only putting their own lives at risk but others!

Let's look at how Pakistanis are dumping their trash, you will find these horrible open fields of trash burning trash all out in the open, not even in a factory were the pollutants and smog can be contained!

Dirty water, do you know why we Pakistanis living abroad can't even drink water from a kitchen faucet in Pakistan. The water there is polluted, people even catch hepatitis, fevers, illnesses, it is truly horrible. We boil and then cool our water before we drink it, or buy bottled water...

Indeed there are many problems in Pakistan.

Nice video presentation for west ppl who wants to visit pakistan!. Countries like India and pakistan take decades to match west. We have our own problems. But mother is mother...

This video was made during Musharaf's era, diring that time the economy was much more stable then than its now...and not every place in Pakistan is like the pind you come from.

Many of our fellow Pakistanis complain about EVERYTHING that has to do with Pakistan. They focus on the bad areas of Pakistan and keep talking crap about Pakistan and purposefully ignore the good side of our country like thats being shown in the video.

Its the exact opposite with our neighbor, india, they will kill anyone who says anything bad about india they cant take it when anything bad is being said about india, they'll fight to the last drop of blood to convince the world india is perfect.

our Pakistani people are the opposite, they complain but have no right complaining because they do nothing for their country, and for some reason it satisfies them when others join in badmouthing about Pakistan

Both sides are worng and both are right in a sense. While indians appear more patriotic by hiding the bad things about their country, Pakistanis express their patriotism through exposing bad things about their country. The difference between the Indians and the Pakistanis is that the later are frustrated. Had we had democracy (in whatever the form) in our country, people would behave diffrently. It is probably not entirely true that Pakistanis dont want to do anything for their country, it is the environment in Pakistan that prevents them from doing anything for their homeland. I am a scientist and I personally know several Pakistani scientists who went back but were not allowed to do anything constructive. That is also true that unlike Indians, we have not evolved as a Pakistani nation during past 60 or so years. And again, I think it happend because we never allowed democracy to take roots in Pakistan. Select few ruled the country and the rest of the population was left on its own to suffer the consequences.

I would have to disagree with you. We had the "democratic" PPP and Nawaz Sherif running the country in the 90s and the country wasn't going anywhere.

Pakistan's economy improved rapidly during when General Musharaf was the President of Pakistan, that is a fact, now that democratic PPP is back in business the country is going back to the 90s even worse.

BTW Pakistan already evolved as a nation, Pakistan has been a nation for the past 61 years, like it or not.

You are most welcome to disagree with me. I am not talking about the PPP or PML governments. I am talking about the rooting of the democracy in Pakistan which was not allowed to take place. Democracy is not only a form of government, it is a culture. A culture that teaches to respect the difference of opinion. Don’t think I am advocating the western democracies. No, not at all. I am talking about the democracy of Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Ali where a commoner can stand up and ask questions. At any rate, even the western democracy is better than a totalitarian form of Government. But the process is long and it takes time. We have to let it run uninterrupted so it takes its roots. I am as much a critic of PPP and PML type politics as much perhaps you are. However, this doesn’t mean that democracy itself is bad. Again, it takes time to weed out bad eggs as it is gradually happening in Indian politics or it has happened in western countries. Several things can be done to improve the current system. Such as (i) empowering the local government system (something Mushrraf was trying to do while the present government is trying to roll it back), (ii) holding elections every 4 years instead of 5 years (so any one party gets little time to waste), (iii) decide if we want to go with presidential system or with parliamentarian system, and a subsequent fair distribution of power etc. etc.
But most important is to have a free judiciary.

Whether economy improved rapidly during Mushrraf's time is debatable. You can start selling your household items, and in a short while your valet will feel heavy. However selling your assets is not something sustainable. I am a scientist not an economist so I can’t say much on that. Except that when I left Pakistan in 2001, one could buy one bread for 2 rupees and now it is selling between 6-7 rupees. Every thing has got expensive by at least 300%. Energy shortfall is whooping 4000 MW. Something that did not exist in 2000 for instance. These things didn’t happen in past 6 months so we can’t really blame PPP government for all these.

I am glad that you think Pakistanis have evolved as a nation. On the ground though, I don’t see that. Bengalis left us in 1971; Baluch want to get rid from us; Sindhis are not happy; and Pashtoons are asking for Pakhtoonkhwa. Now I lived in Baluchistan from 1973 till 1996. I know exactly what is going on in there. We can’t just put all the blame on Indian and foreign involvement.

Sir thank your for your wonderful and most humble question...

I do plan to help Pakistan and many Muslims, InshAllah with Allah's support.

That is all I can say, we must address the issues facing our country, and indeed I know what I will do.
