Two miracles are generally required for canonization. Mother Teresa was beatified in 2003 after the Vatican concluded that an Indian woman’s prayers to the nun caused her incurable tumor to disappear. The second miracle involves a Brazilian man who suffered a viral brain infection that caused multiple abscesses, and eventually left him in a coma and dying. His wife had been praying for months to Mother Teresa, and on Dec. 9, 2008, as he was about to be taken to emergency surgery, she and her husband’s priest and relatives intensified their prayers.

The next morning, the man fully awoke, with normal cognition, according to the Rev. Brian Kolodiejchuk, a Canadian priest who was the postulator, or chief proponent, of Mother Teresa’s canonization. The man did not need surgery, and resumed his work as a mechanical engineer. Moreover, although doctors had previously told him that he was sterile because of his weakened immune system and antibiotics, he and his wife had two healthy children, in 2009 and 2012, Father Kolodiejchuk said.

On Sept. 10 of this year, a medical commission “voted unanimously that the cure is inexplicable in the light of present-day medical knowledge,” and on Oct. 8 a theological inquiry “voted unanimously that there was a perfect connection of cause and effect between the invocation of Mother Teresa and the scientifically inexplicable healing,” Father Kolodiejchuk said.

She started out ok (Mother Teresa). I lost support for her when she refused painkillers, medicines and other such things saying that "suffering" is something essential to her mission.

It turned into a typical "western/christianity burden" sort of movement. However I do not doubt her personal compassion and integrity....I wish more people had that character and spirit.

She was here for Soul harvesting, no doubt she did her job with full "compassion" and "integrity".

Yes we all despise her for that. But I am saying the character of persistence and dedication to a cause is something more Hindu leaders and workers need to take on board. It is the only way to take on these people and prevail...the rug needs to be removed from under their feet.....yet so many people are still so deceived by the purpose and reason behind what she did.

We need at least one genuine personality to reclaim the Dharmic sense and soul of India to create the inspiration and natural consolidation of what India is (a Hindu nation)....so far I am not seeing anyone to that degree. Everyone waivers, everyone gets sullied, everyone gets distracted or unfocused. But maybe it is also our karma to struggle as a nation over a long period of time...who knows. We certainly squander our chances in recent history without others getting involved....and the "others" simply fill the cracks and voids created by this.

I know of a local guy who has done some pretty impressive miracles. No kidding.
He should also apply for sainthood. Im pretty sure by the current prevailing standards, he will be the first living hindu saint anointed by christians :)

Taking care of thousands of marginalized people is an irrelevant feat but a vague "miracle" instantly promotes you to sainthood
