To help you pass the time during the current stay-at-home period, the "Pathan Project" team has decided to make their movie available for free during the lockdown (in France). As of now, the movie is available online through April 15, 2020. If you would like to provide support to the Belgian team of climbers (Sean Villanueva, the Favresse brothers, Jean-Louis Wertz…) for their upcoming adventures, you can also watch several of their other movies through VOD, via the ReelHouse website (https://www.reelhouse.org/xpedition). We hope that you are all doing well and that the end of the tunnel is near. Take care!

THE PATHAN PROJECT An unexplored range in a remote valley of Pakistan, an unclimbed big wall, and a solid team of Belgian, French, and Argentinian climbers ready to combine exploration, music, and humor. Nicolas Favresse, Jean-Louis Wertz, Mathieu Maynadier, and Carlitos Molina embark on a new adventure full of surprises, French fries, and unexpected twists! This 45-minute movie was screened at several Film Festivals around the world and won many awards. The original soundtrack was composed specifically for the movie by the legendary musician-climber Nico Favresse, as well as Vladimir Cellier from Baraka Flims.

Thank you very much for tagging.

This is amazing, breath taking, glorious and majestic Pakistan.

We should get the Pathans to build paths so we can walk rather than climb vertical faces. I remember my first mountain climb, when I was 15, I found a tall looking rugged mountain face and started to climb it in North Wales, UK , and rock climbed without any gear. Ended up half way up a vertical face , looked down and the cars were the size of ants. I froze and only after a little prayer did I manage to extricate myself from the predicament. I kept climbing and the peak you see isn't really the peak, it just seems that way from your underneath position because you are seeing the front high part and your vision is blocked and you climb for the next peak and more and more peaks then you get to the top. After that I had a total respect for mountains and mountain climbing and boy does it get cold up their.

@khansaheeb that wouldn't be much of a climb, considering Snowdon is only 1085 m high.

Compare to it Miranjani in Galliat is 2992 meters high.
Wales has no comparison to Pakistan. Nothing except Nepal is.

True brother , but I found a nasty looking mountain all rocky and not grassy like Snowdon. It was my first ever mountain climb and it taught me a lesson I never forgot. Respect the mountain, train and wear and use the right gear, for when things go wrong you are stuck.

. . .
All the nice valleys and pasture green to go on the top, why did you find the most difficult cliff!!:lol:
We were driving along and in the valley and saw nice rocks to climb and what was supposed to be a 15 min climb ended up like 3 hours with life on the edge, literally, of a big drop down. But that was many moons ago.

Craziest part was when you can't go up, you can't go left or right and you can't go down because there is nothing to hold on to or put your foot on. You look down and there is a 1000 foot drop and you are on a vertical rock face.

Simply have no words. The road should be improved as is the center where you hire people and buy stuff but nothing more then that mlet this place as remote, as pristine as it can be. It is our duty to save it for future generations too.

@Path-Finder thanks a lot for the tag. Do you have a 4K link by any chance?

That is what we call a false peak.

Wales has no comparison to Pakistan. Nothing except Nepal is.

Arguably, Nepal isn't either. It compares in altitude but the average technical difficulty offered by Pakistani mountains makes our north a completely different ball game all together. The Andes around the Patagonian region would be the next closest to Pakistan's north after the Nepalese Himalayas. They can't match the altitudes but the technical difficulty that some climbs there offer are very respectable.
