HRH Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, visited on Thursday the concerns of the King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development (Cadby) in Dulail, which is concerned with research and development to provide optimal solutions in the defense and commercial fields of Jordan in particular and the Middle East in general.
On his arrival at the site, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development, retired staff member Saud Nusairat, and the Director General of the King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development, retired Major General Mohammed Farghal and other officials at the center.
During the meeting, HH the Crown Prince briefed the Director General on the achievements of the Center in the areas of research and development in the past years and the needs it provides to the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, security services, equipment, weapons and systems. As well as the strengthening of technical capabilities in this area.
Farghal pointed out that the center has been able to go a long way in building human capabilities in the fields of design, development and technology transfer, and exerting utmost efforts to find a Jordanian industrial defense base and open all cooperation with local and international scientific institutions.
His Highness the Crown Prince praised the advanced level achieved by the King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development (Cadby), in the development of defense industries and areas of design and manufacture of military and civilian equipment and mechanisms.
During the visit, HRH attended an exhibition of the Center's companies, which included personal protection products, light weapons, night vision devices, light and armored vehicles and various ammunition products.
The King Abdullah II Center for Design and Development (CADPI) is an independent civil institution established in 1999 under the umbrella of the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Arab Army. It is responsible for research and development in order to provide optimal solutions in defense fields locally, regionally and internationally. Jordan armed with military technology to create a sophisticated industrial base in Jordan.
The Center and its affiliated companies employ about 1,200 employees in various jobs. The products are marketed and sold to various governmental and non-governmental bodies from various Arab and foreign countries, in addition to 35 countries. The Center also participates in a number of specialized defense exhibitions in different countries.
