Pak Army accelerates relief operation in Balochistan
QUETTA, July 27 (APP): The Pakistan Army has accelerated the pace of relief operation in flash flood affected areas of Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibi and others.According to a handout issued by ISPR here on Tuesday, about 1700 personnel of the Pakistan Army and the Frontier Corps Balochistan, four teams of Pakistan Army Medical Corps, two special teams of lady doctors and three helicopters of Army Aviation have been participating in the relief operation. They will remain in affected areas till complete rehabilitation of the affected people.
At the medical camps in Barkhan, Kohlu and Sibi, army doctors have examined over 10000 patients besides providing worth millions of rupees medicines to them free of cost. Relief goods are also being provided to the flash flood victims in calamity-hit areas.
It is worth to mention here that personnel of the Pakistan Army have completed repairing work of damaged bridges and roads and all villages have been linked to their relevant cities. Repairing work of damaged section of railway track is underway and efforts also continued to restore electricity supply while power supply has been restored to Talli, Sultan Kot, Lehri, Tehri and Bakhtiarabad.
Joint teams of the Pakistan Army, FC and civil administration have distributed 50 ton ration, cooked food for 15000 persons, 121 canopies and medicines for 10000 patients amongst affected people
