The speculation regarding the growing threat of Daesh in Pakistan has been growing for quite a while. Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has denied any presence of Daesh in Pakistan. That said, Pakistan's foreign office finally acknowledged that that ISIS activities' do pose a threat to the country. At the very least, we must remain vigilant against all these terrorist organizations that pose a threat to the safety of our land and people. Pakistan continues to face the wrath of terrorism at the hands of many other terrorist organizations, and it is alarming to see Daesh possibly spreading its influence in the country. The need of the hour is to stand united and combine our strength against the growing threat of terrorism.

In your opinion, what measures must be taken to negate the growing threat of terrorism?

Nationwide crackdown against TTP now includes Daes too. The arrest of Yousaf al Salafi who was one of the central figures of Daes in S.Asia is an indication of that.

We need two things from your end.

* Find and kill Hafiz Saeed Orakzai the Afghanistan based Daes commander of S.Asia.

* Tell Nawaz Sharif through official channels to end his patronage of Lashkar e Jhangvi which is the 'ground forces' of Daes.

ISI will mop them up easily once those two things happen.

At moments like this I have to sympathize with U.S. diplomats I normally criticize, as they have to put up with unreal pronouncements like Horus' from Pakistanis almost every day. Anyone check Wikileaks? While N.S. was in the opposition he told the U.S. ambassador that the U.S. appoints Pakistan's commander-in-chief, not Pakistan's civilian leadership. How can you reconcile the two, Horus? Do you really think Pakistani civilian leaders roll over and pant at the beck and call of Americans?
