The Electric Vehicle Disruption - End Of Oil by 2030

Tony Seba's Clean Disruption Keynote presentation at the Swedbank Nordic Energy Summit in Oslo, Norway, March 17th, 2016.

The keynote, based on the book 'Clean Disruption of Energy and Transportation' assert that four technology categories will disrupt energy and transportation by:
1- Batteries / Energy Storage
2- Electric Vehicles
3- Self-Driving Vehicles
4- Solar Energy

The outcome of the Clean Disruption is that by 2030
• All new vehicles will be electric.
• All new vehicles will be autonomous (self-driving).
• Oil will be obsolete.
• Coal, natural gas and nuclear will be obsolete.
• 80+ per cent of parking spaces will be obsolete.
• Individual car ownership will be obsolete.
• All new energy will be provided by solar (and wind)

Clean Disruption is a technology disruption. Just like digital cameras disrupted film and the web disrupted publishing, Clean Disruption is inevitable and it will be swift.

Very unlikely ... solar efficiency is very low even in the idealistic conditions whereas in most part of the world it simply cant work due to low temperatures and timming of sun ...

Wind energy is much more expensive than nuclear hydel and coal ...

On car .. self driving cars are much expensive and might require alot of infrastructure investment which is not available in underdeveloped countries .. for example how will it react when traffic signal is out ...

That guy who is presenting is a professional. His lectures are highly sought after. I think you didn't even both to watch his presentation . The world is changing, we need to come out of your rock more often, otherwise, we will become a laughing stock for the world.

I am saying that efficiency of solar energy and wind energy is not that good that they can replace nuclear coal and hydel ...

Furthermore, in a country like Pakistan where you are using Mehran from 1988 and we converted to efi last year and you expect that every car in Pakistan post-2030 will be self driving ... wowwww what an imagination ... grow up man ... realistic life is different than what being taught be science shows ...

Do you really think that all the vehicle manufacturer around the world will throw-up their manufacturing infrastructure in dustbin and will convert whole factories into electric vehicles only just in 13 years... cost of car includes alot of things besides running cost ...
