During the meeting, matters related to importance of Pakistan's Security and Foreign Policy were discussed. The Chief of Air Staff discussed regional & International security situation with the Foreign Minister. The Foreign Minister appreciated preparedness of the Pakistan Air-force.

New CAS doesn't seem to be as proactive and visionary as his predecessor (just my opinion)

The CAS is not a show-off like ACM Sohail Aman (Retd), and is doing his work without wanting to take pictures and acting like some kind of "visionary" fighter pilot.

There is a lot of things I can say about ACM Sohail Aman (Retd) that will undo all this PR stunts, but its better we let it go. History will rightly tell what he did in his time was right or wrong.

Trying to think of things that didn't turn up right in the last 18 years:
I wonder if it has something to do with the long delay / retardation in F-16 induction during the 2000s?
The attempt to stop the JF-17 program?
Not investing in a HOBS capability?
The Mirage - refueling fiasco?
M2K purchase plans?
Covering up / lack of retribution in the Atlantique hijack and shootdown saga?
The Abbotabad saga where the PAF stood down?
The US attack on the salala post again where the PAF stood down?

A word left half-said, is a word left unsaid.

change doesn't just happen by itself. It takes a lot of effort and sacrifice to make the world a better place.

I wanted to say something other than what I have decided to write. An old friend once said that there were 3 people who knew something that needed to be hidden. One died in a road accident, the other went mad after being interrogated and he escaped else where. The reality is there is so much rot that if you try to say something against the system you will end up having the same fate. Nothing changes as the very people who stole and looted are bastions of the law and the picture of piety. Iam sorry to say that the times of my father where even if they harmed you they still respected you behind the scene are long gone. We are in for a rude awakening. Bilal Khan777 I hope that the current chief turns out to be a good one. He started with an allegedly dirty slate but the real proof of his ability is what he does now.
Incidentally my friend used to quite like Rao Qamar and always said that he is an honest if unassuming bloke. Any thoughts?

Relatively speaking, you could only ask "what the heck?!" about the PAF and PA now when they benefit from much more funding and fiscal space.

You know that Cawasjee himself was a bigger chor in many ways. I liked the way in which he wrote but call a spade a spade and by inferance a chor a chor.
O also think we really need to thrash out as a group and as a nation what did we achieve Pakistan for? I blame Mr Jinnah for changing his tack and being the first munafiq for using the name of islam to achieve a country only to dump the slogan. If my supposition is true then we have huge issues on a religious note. I would qppreciate a serious debate as the question is very important and at the core of what ails Pakistan today.
