The issue was Russification granted compared the Tsraist Russia,USSR was much more minority friendly but was it necessary for Cryllic being the written script or etc

I think people lost count when it comes to Russian genocides against various ethnic groups. The vast majority of the Circassians fled to Turkey and there are a lot of them in my hometown. Whenever people learn about my hometown in Turkey, the first thing they will ask you is whether I am Circassian or not. That's how many people migrated.

That's interesting. I didn't know Circassian identity still survives in Turkey.

It's hilarious how white people in America are considered "Caucasian". It truly baffled me when I first heard about this.

Some refugee families from Turkey returned to Chechnya after Kadirov invited them. He sent planes to bring them back but the majority refused to turn home. Those who fought against the Russians were afraid that the Kreml would go after them once they are back in Chechnya. Today, Chechen people in Turkey are Turkish citizens.

Most people don't even know that Turkey also has a strong Caucasian identity and shared history with the region.
