Don't you think you should be worried about your own backyard? The House of Saud, is deliberately flooding the world with over supply of oil to keep the oil price down and it's hurting Rusia. And it's hurting ''Saudia'' and at this rate the Arab ''kingdom'' will be broke with the war in Yemen to finance as well.
You can't stop Nato expansion and Ukraine disintegration. Your nation is an open enemy and, if you doubt what I say, check the media reporting online about your country. Your country is under sanctions and the rubble is worthless and that is why Pres. Putin is trying to open new markets.
So what are your options? Economically, your using up your reserves to stay afloat.
Your military is NO WAY near capable as taking on NATO.
Your military modernisation has slowed down because of cheap oil price and sanctions.
You really think we didnt plan for all this decades in advance? lol. We know what the arabs will do before they know themselves. They are extremely simple minded and short sighted in politics and while they can afford their gear, they dont have even 1% of the tact, tenacity and intelligence of the Americans. And if we can handle the Americans. We can handle a bunch of camel herders whose only move is low oil prices.
Low oil prices will hurt them much more than they hurt us. Remember. 90% of their export earnings come from oil. 40% for us. If worst comes to worst, we can give Iran nuclear weapons and have them close the Strait of Hormuz. What are you going to do about it? Start a nuclear war? We would be happy to oblige.
Also arabs are screwed any way. Low oil prices mean they end up losing their unsustainable quality of life. High oil prices mean American shale companies rising up and taking back their local markets. Lose-lose for SA. We can last for centuries at the current oil prices. SA will croak in a few decades.
Keep in mind, We are the only country in the world to go toe to toe against the USA. This competition between us has made us both stronger than anyone else in the world. We win some, then they win some. It will forever be a back and forth. And we like it that way.
Lastly, our military is capable of flattening the entire world if required. Let alone NATO. Keep in mind we have the 4500 nuclear warheads and bio weapons that can kill off 99% of the world's population. NATO isnt stupid enough to provoke us.
My advice, stop listening to over dramatic western media and relax. We have played this game since before your country even existed. You might get excited over it but this is nothing new to us.
