Highly disputable, in a local branded store here in Karachi, you could get it for around Rs 50000, meanwhile in KP, you could get crafted ones for Rs 5000.

@Alternatiiv

The cost of an AK-47 was calculated by taking the prices from multiple locations in a country and then averaging these prices.
It could be that in your area the prices are lower.

The prices are much higher now. In Pakistan there is huge variety of AK47s. There are russian, chinese, local made and also hybrid ones, where chinese or russian parts used with local ones. Then there is also huge market of used ones. In short, in Pakistan u can get one at any price. A used local or hybrid can be very cheap while a new genuine AK47 costs few lakhs.

Having the lowest price for an AK-47 - sold, bought and practiced in abundance - some folks still think Pak is a cake walk....

No arms, no freedom....
Im the least interested in guns and still i have a AK47 heavy one.

My cousins are in love with guns they some how get their hands in german semi automatics, American M4 copies and most have MP5 close quater combat ones. In kashmir and kpk guns are very very common its associated with manhood of sorts :P im not a man enough as yet.

But i do know this you have to he very very responsible with guns. 2 of my distant relatives blew their own heads off accidently. While one injured his brother by accident. You have to he very very careful.

Also i don't like the culture of firing megazines off into air in weddings. Stick with drums and music plz guns are a dangerous game cuz when they come down almost 90% of the time they injure human beings animals or property.

Price of a real AK starts from 1200 USD in Pakistan.

You wont find a pistol in this price let alone an Ak-47. Even the local one (no more produced though) cost arpund 40(+) thousand. Chinese copy cost 70 thousand plus while original Russian made will cost you more then 120 thousand Pkr.

Is it legal to own guns in your country?

I love guns but unfortunately neither China nor Singapore is legal to own a gun.

That's what the copies do, they're extremly unreliable and dangerous to keep esp with kids around. Just not worth it. Better keep one expensive foreign made gun at home than several unreliable local Darra made copies.

It's part of the culture nothing legal or illegal about it. You cannot find a single household in KP without a gun. Back in the days, people used to openly carry, then Afghan jihad happened and everything changed.
