Textbook sparks row over mosque depicted as noise pollutant

I named you a dumb fcuk because you are a typical muslim who thinks he can teach Hinduism to a Hindu  Its part of your arrogance inspired by ignorance that is the standard norm for most south asian muslim.

LOL at your assumption that I don't know sanskrit or do not know agama. Aagama does not mean "tradition" unless you are learning the meaning of the word from "Wikipedia" Aagama means 'to install'.

Aagama Shastra are the books that teach one how to invite the Chaitanya into the temple deity. Then how to serve it and communicate with it. It has the techniques that is used to worshop the deity. That is why its also called a Tantra which literally means "technique". A "Tantri" is a "Technician".

The Agama tantra used in Guruvayur is the one taught by Adi Shakaracharya and is the same one used in Badrinath temple. These are the Kamika Agama, Yogaja agama, Chintya agama, Karana agama, Ajita agama, Dipta agama, Sukshma agama, Sahasraka agama, Amshumat agama and Suprabheda agama.

The philosophy of the Agama is described in the Mandukya Upanishad. It can also be found in the Samkya Karika. Since Buddha himself was a Samkya philosopher, that is why Buddhism too has "Tantra" as part of its philosophy.

BTW the Aagama itself is an extensions of the Vedas as is most aspect of Hinduism. The Vedas are the primary books of Hinduism and all knowledge of Hinduism flows from there, but the Vedas themselves has no direct instructions or mantras on Temple worship. :disagree:

So the next time you want to pretend to be an expert on Hinduism, try to remember that "google" and "wikipedia" might make you sound like an "expert" in front of ignorant fools, but when faced with a real Hindu, you will just come across as a fool.

BTW since you now claim to be an expert of Arabic, can you tell us why the quran has stories from the Jewish Folk Lore ?

For e.g. "Jinns" are from the Jewish Talmund :P ....... I can give more examples, but I am not sure if you can handle the truth.
:blah::blah: Still does temples follow rigveda or not? It does, so you resort to butthurt comments.
You speak foul and quote sacred books of your religion. That shows your upbringing. No scram! kid

.
And as if Hindus do not do that at all. Difference is we say Azaan five times a day. Mostly 2-3 minutes. Hindu evening prayer in temples goes on for about more than half an hour complete with massive bells and what not. Ever tried standing next to a temple which is offering the evening prayer with lamps and bells and drums and what not. No less of a cacophony and it does not even require a damn loud speaker. But they put one for good measure most of the time.

I do not know much about Hindu rituals and festivals besides holi and diwali but I have seen my fair share of blaring loudspeakers for days and nights together. The song 'Shera-wali something something' is very very painfully etched into my memory when I was trying to study for a bloody exam next day. Worse part? most of the schools want to conduct mid year exams before they close for Diwali and that means you will be hearing 'Shera-wali whatever whatever' guaranteed during your exam prep.

This whole drama of Hindu being meek and agreeable in India needs to end! You know the basic criteria of a sociopath/psycopath is that they think their shit does not stink. Hindu nationalists / conservatives fall squarely in this definition.

I tell you what. I am all for abolishing usage of loud speakers by all communities - if at all such an agreement can be reached. But that will never happen since you use it essentially as show of dominance in any given area, don't you?

Azaan may sound harmless or even melodious for a believer like you. But for me, it is a clear irritant at odd hours that won't stop for any day of the year. What makes it all worse is that all the mosques seem to have coordinated their timings in such a way that none of their calls on loud speakers overlap. So you end up hearing the same call 5 times multiplied by the number of mosques in your area on a DAILY BASIS.

Not only is it a major irritant throughout the year, but also an insult to my beliefs or lack thereof, to hear you say that your G*d is the only G*d and all the rest are impostors. Have you ever thought about that aspect?

If you think Muslims are not aggressive, then you haven't paid much attention to what they pronounce on their loud speakers even in Hindu dominated areas - that all other G*d/G*ds are impostors. Do you think such a provocation would be tolerated in a Muslim dominated society if done by any minority, let alone by pagan Hindus?!

Just a Muslim man with his newly wed Hindu wife, who he is parading as a trophy (or as 'bounty' as is called in Islamic traditions), denied hotel room in Bangalore (for whatever pathetic reason), made national news. But the Hindus that are being hounded, their properties set on fire, and their temples being desecrated in large swathes of WB doesn't even make a decent national news worth paying attention for.

I call that meek.

Oh I am A-Okay if all religious use of Loud Speaker will be banned. Infact I believe most of the muslims will be. Mosques traditionally had a duty of saying Azaan from a height so it can be heard from far. But then you cann't have Shiv Sena going berserk in Mumbai demanding Loud Speakers for Ganesh Festival.

.
Azaan is a call for prayer done in Mosque.now loudspeakers are used to spread the call as far as possible.Thats it.

Point is, even if India passes a law to ban the use of loudspeakers, come Ganesh Festival or any major Hindu festival, you will see all of the Mitra Mandlis of Maharashtra putting the loud speakers from trees, buildings, poles and what ever they can get their hands to and will blare it at the top of their capacity. Most these Mitra Mandlis are backed by local goons and local political parties. Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal and whole hindutva brigade will be supporting them. Even if a lawyer puts a class action suite (called PIL -- public action litigation) in Indian courts, even judge will turn a blind eye to that. Religion is too sensitive of a topic to be regulated in India.

And how does it matter? Its not that Hindus are going to suddenly stop following their faith because they heard Azaan. Heck most of the Hindus won't even understand what is being said unless they go and search what it says.

Just a Muslim man with his newly wed Hindu wife, who he is parading as a trophy (or as 'bounty' as is called in Islamic traditions), denied hotel room in Bangalore (for whatever pathetic reason), made national news.
Now this is stupid talk! Parading? A man on his way to honeymoon is parading the wife! And you are so omniscient that you know he was thinking of his 'hindu' wife as bounty. Don't tell me you think this was a 'Love Jihad' and he had a Jihad rate card in his pocket. Beyond ridiculous!

Are you seriously asking me how it matters?

If somebody abuses your religious practices in a language that you don't understand on a continuous basis hundreds of times a day (number of mosques in your area multiplied by 5 times a day on all days of the year, year after year, every year), does that make it OK? Do you realize how absurd your argument sounds? And now, many non-muslims have started to realize what these calls are about. So it is not even a secret anymore.

But the problem is actually much worse than that.

Muslims, most of who take their books quite literally, are so keen take to violence to enforce this absurdity - calling all other G*ds as impostors. That's what matters. Calling other G*ds as impostors and declaring their own as the last m****nger, is a direct call for violence since nobody else tends to agree with them. And that only makes Muslims angrier and more resolute to enforce their views.

Back in the days, when even the those calling out at the mosques didn't understand the meaning of what they were calling out, it was kind of OK since they didn't actually mean it. But now with the import of virulent Saudi preachers and influence of petro-dollars, the literal interpretation of stuff that they say on loud speakers, makes it creepy. What makes it even worse is that the hapless Hindus think that they are just being nice neighbors when these mosques call out in a foreign language that their religious practices are somehow inferior.

And because they believe that they are on side of the ultimate truth (even though their beliefs as ludicrous as any other religion), they are keen to enforce their beliefs on others which is when trouble begins!

I don't mean disrespect, but please don't brush it under the carpet as merely a call for prayer when it is NOT.

How is it just a call for prayer when you use that call to denigrate every other belief (including those that don't believe in any nonsense) as false and as impostors? Would you tolerate it, for example, if an atheist went on the loud speaker and denounced all belief systems for what they are, as many times, and in as many places?

Making that call in a TOTALLY foreign language only makes it worse, suspicious, unintelligible and generally unpleasant to listen to. And judging by the different kinds of sounds that each caller makes for the same exact call, I am sure many of them aren't even pronouncing the words correctly.

The calls, in my sincere view, are rather unnecessary shows of dominance, powerplay and demarcating of territories for others to comply, or else! Those that are serious enough about their prayers will do so even without a reminder. And those that need so many reminders can't be expected to be serious about their stuff anyway.

I can't believe we allow a call calling other religion gods as false!

How is this being allowed in a secular nation?

The way you,re talking about it clearly shows you dont know a word about its concept and history. So it shall be useless to tell you what and why.

If government of india wants to ban loudspeaker then it should talk with communities and convince them.btw all the noise people raise about azaan is that they dont like Islam to be seen or heard about.

First tell me how it is not an insult to call all others G*d/s as fake when you call your own kind for prayer 5 times a day.

Why should I even care to know about your so-called "concept and history" of Azaan that allows you to insult other beliefs so casually? In fact, if you guys had cared to know about other religions, you would see that there is nothing new that you guys learn from your book. Every religion worth its salt teaches about humanity and talks about do's and don't's for humans to follow.

But if you do insult, at least have the courage to face similar insults/criticism about your own without getting huffed about it. Amazing how you guys think you are entitled to belittle other beliefs but all hell breaks lose if somebody were to even make an attempt to insult yours in a similar way.

btw all the noise people raise about azaan is that they dont like Islam to be seen or heard about.

Yeah, right! The while world is coming to get you! You wantonly destroy property, kill and maim people in the name of religion and then display the victim-card whenever you get pulled over.

Same old modus operandi. You guys are way too predictable.

Yep, you Muslim for sure - seeing you take pleasure in hurling insults at other religions.

btw all the noise people raise about azaan is that they dont like Islam to be seen or heard about.

But then, why wonder the whole world is coming to get you? Lol

Dont Listen to it.

You started it ! Same answer for you.

Dont Listen to it.

Abuse my belief (or lack of a belief) in the guise of call for your prayers on loud speakers, dozens of times a day and then ask others to cover their ears.

And when others question you, first hurl choicest of abuses on their religion and then claim victim-hood by saying that the whole world is coming to get you.

Ain't that typical of you guys!

Temple does not "follow" rig veda. It however takes the teaching of rig veda and presents an alternative approach.

It however does not chant the rig veda.
