Tesla sells nearly 53K vehicles in China in Nov; nearly 32K domestically

Because US regulatory hurdles are biased against Chinese products even though Chinese cars are sold in EU and Australia with equally stricter standard.

BYD numbers are misleading due to a large number being dinosaur hybrids. Elon despises hybrids.


And Giga Shanghai is set to expand production capacity to 1.5M vehicles by next summer. And the Austin and Berlin factories are set to open soon. Teslas production is about to rapidly expand worldwide.

Got to love how the Chinese here are completely ignoring the fact that Tesla will be opening 2 new factories soon. As if the Chinese market is the only EV market.

The Tesla killer BYD Han EV finally breaks 10,000/mo after starting delivery in July 2020.
Plus a couple of thousands of Han PHEVs, BYD Han sold 12,841 units in November, beaten the Model 3 to the dusts... Model 3 is dead already.

Once Australia goes full EV it will be even better.

And this is in Australia, one of the most anti Chinese countries in the world.

Ok , if you are going to count MG and LDV as Chinese you are going to have to also add Volvo too and considering they sell thousands of cars in the US that means your US bias argument doesn't hold up to scrutiny...as usual.

MG and LDV are totally different cases from Volvo.
Volvo's R&D and company running are independently carried out in Sweden, while MG and LDV are basically a badge/brand name purchased by SAIC. As a matter of fact, majority of people who bought MG or LDV knows it's Chinese. But the company SAIC will be very happy to see people regard MG and LDV as British, so they can sell well in those not so friendly countries. I have made lots of Chinese car threads through the years, but I have never include Volvo/Polestar or even Proton's own models into my thread, but MG and LDV will always be included because they are developed and manufactured by SAIC, and they are great products.
BTW, GWM/Haval also sell very well in Australia and South Africa, etc., too.
