The 21st Meeting of the Council of Ministers (COM)

The 21st Meeting of the Council of Ministers (COM) of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) preceded by the Senior Official Meeting will be held on 24-26 November 2013 in Tehran, Iran. The COM will account for the reports of the ECO and its institutions on progress achieved in the main activity area of the ECO that focus, among others, on transport, trade, energy, environment and agriculture covering the period 2012-2013.
The Meeting will adopt substantial decisions on the new initiatives and activities reflected in the Work Programme planned for 2013-14. Participation of the ECO and its regional bodies and institutions as well as broad international community is expected. Tehran Communiqué, encompassing vision and guidance for the organization, will be issued at the end of the COM Meeting.
UPCOMING
One of ECO's major projects, is to facilitate 6 ports in Turkey,Iran and Pakistan to allow the landlocked Muslim member nations to trade via sea.
