Security forces have killed seven important commander of Taliban group in Charkh District of central Logar province.
Police chief of Logar province said the Taliban commanders killed in the raid include the group’s so-called governor for the same District Mawlawi Asadullah and military commander Mullah Sharif.
Brigadier General Dawoud Ahmadi added that other commanders of Taliban killed in the operation include Mullah Ahmad, Mullah Rahbar, Mullah Fazal, Mullah Qadir and Mullah Muzamil.
Located some 60 km south of Kabul, Logar is one of the comparatively restive provinces of Afghanistan where armed opponent groups are operating in its remote areas.
But they occasionally carry out attacks in the provincial capital as well.
