I don't believe US could be *wiped out* in Afghanistan by Taliban. The only reason they left was because they couldn't annihilate Taliban who'd go hide in the mountains and carry out IED/Guerrilla attacks.

There are very few battles between US and Taliban forces except for the beginning as compared to the tenure of occupation since Taliban are not an actually trained or organized Miltia in terms of it's lower cadre. Can't be compared to Hizbullah, Hamas, Hashb al Sha'abi etc. They're more like Houthis. However, Houthis do engage in conventional warfare.
