Official introduction !!!

The T129 is a formidable, new, highly powerful and capable all-weather day and night multi-role attack helicopter which is being developed in cooperation by TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries) Aselsan and AgustaWestland for Turkey and other export markets. It is based upon the AW129 and its predecessor, the battle-proven A129 Mangusta platform. High weapon payload, excellent performance for hot and high conditions and range and endurance of up to 3 hours are enabled by state-of-the-art LHTEC-T800 engines, making the T129 a critical multi-role resource for attack and deterrent operations. Low signature and agility ensure maximum stealth, and a significant weapons payload enable the T129 to operate in the most hostile of battlefield environments as well as in confined areas typical of current military scenarios. Latest technology features include Integrated Aircraft Survivability Equipment which delivers vital survivability tools and integrated mission management utilising an advanced FLIR sighting system, Helmet Mounted Display and Mission computers. High survivability enhanced by ballistic tolerance and crashworthiness is a fundamental design feature. The T129 benefits from the high field supportability necessary for an aircraft needing to operate in remote areas with the minimum logistical support.

Brothers, I wanted to post T-129 project of Turkey because I strongly believe that Pakistan and Turkey will make a tech. transfer agreement to co-produce T-129 for Pakistan army as We have done with Italians for T-129...

By the way, Turkey started a hard work to improve developing the capabilities for every type military and civil helicopters in Turkey... T-129 is also one of them... but We have a great utility helicopter tender that is hopped to release the final results of this tender until 1th July by SSM... There are two helicopter insutries participated to this tender... If Turkey choose AW-149 (Italians call it like T-149), Turkey will be the main partner of T-149 with all rights including the selling rights to 3rd countries with completely Turkish systems, softwares and avionics like T-129...

Pakistan just received first 129 (check latest afm for the pic). Total deal is 2 for president and premier and 3 for relieve duties. I have seen and touched the T129. It was at Le Bourget. Very very very nice chopper. It surely impressed me and it was the most photographed item by me. I think it will do a much better job then some other options in Pakistan and indeed I predict that Pak will buy the same T149...

Let me be nice... Here some of the pics.

Not 129 but 149 civil version. News was printed (with picture of the first on the delivery) in latest AifrocesMonthly..

Glad you like them. I have more but I think it would be not wise to make huge images topic.

also operated by Aga Khan Helicopter services.
Very nice bird.. had the chance to fly in one operated by them. All glass cockpit.. from take off... at 700 or soo feet autopilot engaged.. and the darn thing literally flew itself to Chitral hands off.
During the earthquake relief would outrun every chopper.

That explains the strange remark "relief" duty helicopter in airforcesmonthly. The cockpit would probably the same as what I saw in Paris:

PS. copy and paste the link in to your browser, because im not allowed to post links yet..

I would love to see both of these birds in Pakistans service in the military. Now my only question is that is the T-149 a midium lift heli? Because if it is than it could peobably replace the Puma's that we have for so long.
