In the first comprehensive survey undertaken in China regarding Indo-Chinese relations, most of the Chinese don't take India economically and militarily significant enough to challenge China. But nearly 90% supported the use of force(military action) against India if the latter provokes. Also worth noting Nearly 75% of Chinese think the relationship between the two neighbors will be the same or even go worse.

India has the advantage in terms of military facilities and ease of resupplying. Meanwhile, China has better roads and communications infrastructure in the region.

Consider this, we're five times the size of your economy and we outpace you by at least a decade in military modernization. The gap is growing, not narrowing. I don't know where you get that confidence from.

You are giving them wayyyyyy too much credit here. The 2010 PLA could still very easily smack the current day Indian military. Overall besides some extremely niche foreign imports (Rafael, S-400, Phalcon AWACs), the Indian military is minimum a quarter century behind that of China. Even their somewhat plentiful Su-30MKIs is using already over two decades old technology, not to mention the Migs. The military gap between India and China is even larger than the economic gap as the former has zilch domestic arms industry. Truth be told, the Indian military ten years ago was in much better shape than it is today, which is basically an massive assembly of outdated equipment plus some very limited top of the line European imports and crappy domestic weaponry (i.e. Tejas, Arjun, Arihant). At least back in 2010, the Indians could still brag that they laid down their first domestic aircraft carrier before China lol.

As I said, 10% of the survey are probably Indian or maybe Taiwanese/Hong Kong/FLG trolls. I doubt a single person in China would believe India has the capability to surpass it in the next 1000 years.
