Surgical strikes: BJP slams Kejriwal for demanding proof

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Tuesday slammed Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader P Chidambaram for demanding proof on the Army's surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) to destroy terror launch pads.

"I want to ask Arvind Kejriwal whether he believes in the extraordinary valour of our Army or not in conducting surgical strikes," Union minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a press briefing.

"Under the garb of seeking proof, don't belittle great leadership, courage and sacrifice of our armed forces. Why are you getting influenced by propaganda of Pakistan," Prasad asked Kejriwal, adding that the Delhi CM's comments have become headlines in Pakistani media.

Prasad also questioned former Union home minister P Chidambaram, saying why was he((P Chidambaram)) joining the bandwagon of those who were doubting the capacity of Indian jawans in conducting surgical strikes. He asked Congress to come clean on Chidambaram's comments.

In the wake of Pakistan casting doubts on last week's surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "expose the false propaganda" being spread by Islamabad on the issue.

He also said that he salutes the Prime Minister for taking strict measures against Pakistan in spite of having differences on other matters.

"Recently they (Pakistan) took a delegation of international media to Pakistan and told them that there was no surgical strike at all by the Indian forces. They are spreading a false propaganda. Modiji should expose the false propaganda of Pakistan," said Kejriwal in a video message.

Some observers reacted by reading between the lines and concluding that by raising this demand for countering Pakistan's propaganda, Kejriwal was doubting the Centre's claim of having carried out a surgical strike.

India carried out surgical strike on seven terror launch pads across the LoC on the intervening night of September 28 and 29, inflicting "significant casualties" on terrorists preparing to infiltrate from Azad Kashmir.

And they kept blaming Pakistanis to be boot lickers. What a world we live in who would have thought "Asking questions in supposedly largest democracy of the world would lead to questions being raised on your loyalty".

By the way I have no problems accepting current india to be a real democracy ........... it truly represents its extremist intolerant people. Plus a prediction 99% modi indian posters here would order Kejriwal to move to his homeland Pakistan.

this is the golden chance for India to expose Pakistani propaganda so whyyyyyy not the big question is WHY?
and i just want answer from Indian members a common question,
if ( as per indian logic) indian army has done a surgical strike and destroyed the launch pads and shoot 38 jehadies and they also saying that these camps are under Pak army and ISI umbrella so definitely ISI and Pak army well known about these incident so my question is if it has present 0.01% facts
will PAK army so stupid to that they raise the issue ( false flag) it on high level or they want to keep silent ( or low level objection) on this?

My ans...if it has done as per (Indian logic) so Pak army should keep silent or low level objection or they will be preparing for revenge because PAK army know if it has done Indian army has definitely proof videos and pictures because indian army is well professional not so stupid.
So Pak army is not digging grave for their professionalism to do false flag propaganda.
