The Afghan National Directorate of Security said troops arrested a suicide bomber, thwarting his plans to attack the Indian consulate in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, local officials said on Monday.

Attaullah Ludin, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said “the attacker named Nasir, a resident of Tagab district of north-eastern Kapisa province, recently joined the Taliban and confessed to his plot of bombing the Indian consulate on Sunday, during investigations.”

However the Taliban was yet to comment on the incident.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Afghanistan to inaugurate its new parliament building, which was built by India as a gift for Afghan democracy.

I welcome action by your army against all terrorists, without reservation - kill them all - including those responsible for the 26/11 attack and for so many other terror attacks. Can you guys really do it? Going by reactions here, I doubt it. Don't do it for India. Do it for the sake of your own kids.

It is shameful that despite what happened in December last year, there are sections of Pakistani society which think in terms of good terrorists/strategic assets.

I prefer snake worship to the following actions:

• Killing school children
• Killing worshippers of minority sects & other religions by suicide bombing
• Killing polio workers, who are just trying make all children secure
• Kidnapping hundreds of schoolgirls, setting fire to student hostels
• Enslaving women of other faiths and selling them into sexual slavery
• Chopping throats for camera
• Sheltering international terrorists such as Hafiz Sayed and Osama Bin Laden

The snake worshippers haven't done any of these actions.
