I got to admit, the Russians have huge potential with this design. I see a huge market for this kind of aircraft.
I believe Pakistan should take interest in a limited number of these aircrafts but only if equiped with Chinese AESA/EW/Avionics/Weapon systems. The engine, FBW, airframe are perfect though
I imagine MMM-E coming here and mentioning the TFX
This thread should be renamed: Su-75 Checkmate. Russia's FINAL attempt to compete with ...
And the reason for your prediction of this early demise?
They're running out of money?
Do elaborate.
in fact this is based on a long and most interesting discussion with Piotr Botowsky - I'm sure you know him as one of the leading Russian aviation specialists - concerning Russia's future prospect and he has in fact no faith at all.
I'm surprised.
UAC/Irkut just launched another single-aisle airliner MS21-300 which is a rival to Airbus' A320 NG series and B737's.
Irkut MS-21-300 successfully completes certification test program in natural icing conditions

Any link to the discussion (if recorded) or was it a personal discussion? Thanks in advance.
They launched it maybe but at best it will attract some state-founded Russian airlines who get it due to political reasons, otherwise that project - albeit originally a project more advanced than the A320NEO and 787MAX due to new materials and so on, is now no longer a gamechanger.
As for this discussion, it was a personal discussion we had in November 2018 at Zhuhai in a round of several other journalists and where he noted that Russia simply failed to keep the staff on board of the major companies. The new political/industrial leaders are so much interwoven within politics, corruption and mismanagement and all experienced former engineers, designer and staff has either left, retired or resigned. In fact he joked, he assumes that there is not much time left for Russia's aviation industry and his eventually final book on this topic should be called "The Russian aviation industry's swansong"
Don't be so gullible. The West has been burying Russia for centuries. All their invasions since Middle Ages failed because of total underestimating of Russia. We already developing 6th gen fighter, stealth unmanned fighter S-70 and new strategic bomber PAK-DA. Russia will live for centuries after West's collapse and disappearing.I am truly saddened to hear this. I was really hoping Russians could help some of the newer growth economies like Bangladesh get involved into having their own nascent aerospace ventures. Pakistan and India have thriving aerospace sectors, but Bangladesh is just starting out.
