A university student walked up a snow-covered mountain to find a signal for her online lessons during the COVID-19 outbreak in the city of Chamdo in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on February 21. After the local telecommunication administration was informed of the situation, engineers were sent to her village to check and repair the internet on February 25. Now she can access the lessons at home. #coronavirus #COVID19 #Tibet
Brought a smile to my face. She is a ethnic Tibetan girl yet she has something in common with Han Chinese and every other ethnic group in China. That is valuing education. In fact, even overseas Chinese all over the world take education seriously. We have more in common than differences. We are one family.
Hats off to the officials who immediately sent assistance after learning about her situation. Heartwarming.
