The Swedish tanks on the Strv 122 (Leopard 2S) tanks from the 2nd battalion of the 70th tank regiment carried out an exercise to neutralize improvised explosive devices, help with an accident, evacuation of wounded and repair of vehicles in combat conditions.

The Ukrainian team completed the execution of the "tank platoon in the offensive" phase. Judges are currently counting points.


The Ukrainian team scored 208 points out of 500 possible for the performance of the "tank platoon in the offensive" stage.

I love the Leopard 2 because it harkens back to the superior quality they achieved in WWII. Glad to see that machine is proving itself not only on paper, but in operation too.

Congratulations to all participants. Its all about Team spirit! I hope NATO will go with such competitions an also restore updaten equivalents to the old "Rommelpokal" (Infanterie competition) and "Boeselagerpokal" (recconaissance competition).

This year eight NATO and partner nations are participate in the Strong Europe Tank Challenge 2018 including Austria, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the United States. For the first time in this event, United Kingdom and Sweden compete with the best crew of tank units in Europe.
The units who participate at the Strong Europe Tank Challenge 2018 are the Austria’s 6th Tank Company, 14th Panzer Battalion who has the Leopard 2A4; France’s 1er Régiment de Chasseurs, 1st Hunter Regiment who is showcasing the Leclerc; Germany’s 3rd Panzer Battalion who brought the Leopard 2A6; Poland’s 34th Armoured Cavalry Brigade who has the Leopard 2A5; Sweden’s Wartofta Tank Company, Skaraborg Regiment who is operating the Stridsvagn 122; Ukraine’s 1st Tank Company, 14th Mechanized Brigade who brought the T-84; the United Kingdom’s Queen’s Royal Hussars who is using the Challenger 2; and the U.S.’s 2nd Battalion, 70th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division who is on the M1A2 SEP V2.

Most Swedish girl are cute.

But on the other hand, most of these photo are posed, if you see soldier in a warzone dressed nicely and girl like this with their lipstick on, which usually means its a photo op.

And I hate being in a tank or IFV, I like to fight dismounted.

To me the leopard 2 is sexier... idk there is something about it... wether the first gen that had a tiger 1 inspired turret or the pointy arrow shaped modern ones

This year,Germany took the first place followed by Sweden and Austria. Congratulations to them and all other participating teams ! A great competition to promote interoperability,camaraderie etc. It would be good if more countries took part in this challenge.
