"Esteemed physicist Professor Stephen Hawking has dramatically warned 'the end of the world is nigh'.

The Cambridge University-based genius claims we have got less than 600 years left as a species to do something before a “ball of fire” engulfs the Earth.

In a video appearance at the 2017 Tencent WE Summit in Beijing on Sunday, the world-renowned scientist warned that overcrowding and energy consumption could bring about a fiery end to the planet within 600 years.

The end would come in a “ball of fire,” he is reported to have said, according to the Cambridge News .

To save itself, mankind must take a cue from American TV series Star Trek and “boldly go where no one has gone before,” he said in the appearance"

. .
600 years is too far, I give it 100 years
Well maybe its too far maybe not but he is right on humanity must "boldly go where no one has gone before,”

Its in nature of human to both fear and at the same time yearn about unknown .
Also we must consider limited earth resources .and Honnestly if you can go beyond earth why stay in your cradle? after all each h child at a time must leave his/her mother.

even "IF" you can travel beyond the space, your rate of migration must be greater than the birth rate on planet earth which is highly unlikely.

Its not about reducing air population .let ask you something did England migration rate in 17-19 was more than the rate of birth in england

600 years is a long time.i don't see life on Earth after 100 years.ice is melting fast and life on planet Earth might not survive rising temperatures.a large asteroid or even tsunami or powerful gravitational waves can end all life on Earth.this concept of human beings on another life supported planet is basically what nasa is trying to do.ultimately they will find the planet but we don't have the technology to travel faster and this creates hurdles.michio Kaku has highlighted the need of advance technologies in this field.we all want to survive and we know Earth might not stay longer.

Is it him or someone else is literally pressing his buttons ?

On a side note, here is the “ great balls of fire”

I don't buy it. Humanity is progressing towards clean energy, and new technologies are being researched to combat the effects of climate change.

Humanity will be fine.

I'm more worried about a nuclear war, or an asteroid destroying the earth.

no one knows exact date and all is guess but u.s and israel actions in this world are accelrating this world towards end as they are in hurry to see Jesus and dajal for which they are creating circumstances and atmosphere by waging such wars which are sign of their arrival

its simple math and examples of 1700s dont fit in it. if world population is increasing a billion every 50 years then in order to have sustainable life on earth you must either eliminate population and move it somewhere.
