Stalin - the only one who offered military assistance to Czechoslovakia when Western countries decided to give Czechoslovakia to Hitler. West a few years did not respond to attempts of Stalin to create anti-German alliance. As a result, Stalin had to sign a non-aggression pact with Hitler. And in Poland, Stalin just returned Ukrainian and Belorussian lands along the Curzon line.
