Staged boat drama by India coming to an end: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said in a statement on Friday that the boat drama staged by India has reached its climax.



Aslam was referring to the report in Indian media on February 18 which said that that DIG Indian Coast Guard B.K. Loshali admitted it was him who gave the orders to destroy the alleged Pakistani vessel and had informed Indian authorities about it the night of the incident.

The spokesperson went on to say that the FO had already clarified earlier that there was never any boat missing from Pakistan’s waters.

Speaking on the matter of the visit of India’s Foreign Secretary, she said that there has been no date set for the talks between the Foreign Secretaries of both countries. She added that all pertaining issues will be discussed during the talks.

Regarding neighbouring Afghanistan, Aslam said that Pakistan has always supported Afghan-owned reconciliation process.

There was no Pakistani boat missing according to the official Pakistani stance. Hence the blowing up of any boat by the Indian Coast Guard would not of be any concern to Pakistan. That seems to be their stance.

Yup possibly another staged drama by the Indian Coast Guard. Who knows how many Kashmiris were placed on that boat before it was blown up by the Coast Guard. Anyways, just some extra money for those Coast Guard officials. Nothing for Pakistan to concern itself with as you rightfully pointed out

You will have to await the next census from Pakistan to clarify whether any of its citizens were blown up in this boat. I hope that their census forms have a column querying "where any of your family members of residents of this household killed in a boat explosion in Indian waters" though

Until then, their official position is that "it wasn't our boat. We don't care. Leave us out of this since we counted our fishing boats and they are all safe and sound. And heck if you did shoot that boat and if it was a Pakistani boat please explain why". It really is simple. I cannot understand why Indians find it so hard to understand

Nair, I suggest you re-read the statement of Parikar. I clearly remember, he didn't used solid anywhere in statement. So stop lying to give credence to your argument.

Have you not read the article and the response from Pakistani members here ? They cannot go to the ICJ since their official stance is that the boat wasn't a Pakistani boat. So whoever was fried alive in that boat is of no concern to Pakistan. Terrorists or smugglers or perhaps some good looking boys seeking fame in Bollywood as one member pointed out yesterday, it remains of no concern to Pakistan whether the Indian Coast Guard ceremoniously cremated those people on the boat or whether they cremated themselves. Perhaps the people on the boat were some right wing Hindu terrorists out to conduct Hindutva terrorism in India ?

Where are the suspected persons, explosives or any material or any forensic analysis done on the remains of boat which explains it carries what India is claiming it was carrying ?
