They're in for stiff competition from that nearby Middle East -- and Hindu -- country, the UAE.

If the the OL games all of sudden became vacant I could fancy UAE wanting that and lobbying for it.. They even wanted Qatar's World cup to replace them

It depends. Their club football is not that bad nor their national team in comparison to Japan and South Korea who are considered decent middling good on the world stage Qatar is a notch below them with some upgrading and home field advantage they could get out of the groups but I don't see them reaching further then that the competition is to stiff when you have people like Messi and Ronaldo or France, Brazil, Germany or Spain coming to the tournement

Did Indonesia really bid for the Olympics 2032? Why not also bid for 2034 world cup. I know China wants to get the 2034 World cup but Indonesia could join the competition you never know and you might end up winning it if you bribe the right people

We also have ambition for Football World Cup, but at the mean time we need to convince FIFA that we are a good host of 2023 FIFA World Cup for U 20

I didn't know you also were hosting FiFA world U20. That Olympic bid could be accepted due to Indonesia location being just to exotic and having the necessary infrastracture to complete such huge games

Actually it should be this year, but delayed due to pandemic into 2023. We have prepared the team and look like we should make another team since current team age will be beyond 20 in 2023. Neverthelest the delay will make us able to use new football stadium in Jakarta during the competition.

Other stadium in Sumatra is also capable to host some games there

This new sport complex in North Sumatra that will also have large football stadium will be ready in 2024 which is also essential to make us win Olympic 2032 bid, currently Australia is a favorite choice from the committee point of view but the competition is not over yet

Aceh province is also building new football stadium

Australia has also made a bid wait what?. I personally don't think that tournement should be given to Australia because they hosted it just recently 2000 Olympics that is like what 21 years ago and in my opinion they shouldn't even make a bid.

By the way these are some great stadiums are you sure you are not preparing for another surprise bid perhaps Asian games or even World cup bid
