Sri Lanka snubs India, opens port to Chinese submarine again

SL does'nt have to choose nothing.. Simple as that.. We're having the cake, Eating it too.. and it's quite good..If India wants to surpass China in bilateral ties work on it.. Give us a better cake.. Without crying when Chinese naval ships berth in SL.. And a pitiful way for a regional power to behave

Well said.

Nope. As of today, SL has already chosen. You think SL can blackmail India ?

I am sure India will look for a cheaper and a more painful way to make SL forget the Chinese cake. ........ all the best till then.

.
Either align your interests with Indian interests or align it with Chinese interests. That is what I am saying.

Sri Lanka will do what's in Sri Lanka's interests. And that is having a relationship with both countries.

Yes, send over that nuclear bomb.

.
Nope. Sri Lanka will have (hopefully good) relations with both countries - whether you like it or not. Sri Lanka does not see China as an enemy. On the other hand it is India that has done several things inimical to Sri Lankan interests.

India does not care how SL looks at China. Only what it DOES with China.

Negotiations based on mutual trust and benefit is VERY different from negotiating a black mail. But one needs to be smart to understand the difference.

. .
..........because we are too soft. It is better to be feared than liked. Speak softly and carry a BIG stick.

We speak softly but forget to carry the stick.

or may be its the otherway round. the Local people should accept India , no matter what their government thinks. The big stick is only for their government not the people.

Of course India does care how SL looks at China.

That is what you, for example, are whining about.

You want Sri Lanka to see China as an enemy.

Not going to happen, sorry.

It is India that lost it's black mailing - via the LTTE.

.
LOL. So you think you can black mail India

Two can play that game. What a shame that you have such a short memory for history.

So who is blackmailing India ? Dude you need to realize this is not bollywood fantasy land .. What do you think this is a Tom Clancy novel ?

Btw our memories are strong, And since we remember very well, We know how to handle things better.. We wont be caught unaware like we were last time.. Twice bitten thrice shy

The jingoistic Indian posters like Sahasranama are boiling with rage.

All because a Chinese submarine docked at a port in Sri Lanka.

LOL. No you idiot. I don't care a rats @rse even if you bown down and lick china's feet.

I am talking about SL giving berth to Chinese War Machines.

I don't care how SL sees china. Friend, Enemy, God, whatever. That is your problem. Not mine.

I REPEAT. I am talking about what SL DOES. NOT what it thinks.

LOL. You think LTTE was bollywood or a Tom Clancy novel ? You think UN sanctions are a fantasy ? :cheesy: ....... there is more than one way to skin a cat.

There there.

Looks like a nerve was touched :)

You do care how Sri Lanka sees China. That's why you are posting here and replying to all the Lankans.

It's clear you want Sri Lanka to "choose" India and look at China as an enemy.

Fat chance of that happening.

And Chinese war machines have docked in Sri Lanka.

And they will continue to dock at Sri Lankan ports.

Because Sri Lanka does not see China as an enemy.

If you have a problem with China, take it up with China.

.
I really don't see what the problem is.

- Indian naval ships have docked at Sri Lankan ports
- Pakistani naval ships have docked at Sri Lankan ports
- Japanese naval ships have docked at Sri Lankan ports
- French naval ships have docked at Sri Lankan ports
- Australian naval ships have docked at Sri Lankan ports

So... why can't Chinese submarines dock at Sri Lankan ports when they are passing through?

Because:
the Chinese ships are nuclear (and none of the above are)
the type of ship is purely offensive (and none of the above are) and
Sri Lanka is what Cuba is to the USA or Taiwan to China
(and I wonder how China would respond if India started docking INS Chakra in Zuoying Naval Base near Kaohsiung)
