Spy Satellite Conundrum

Windy, you being an aviation enthusiast, I thought you knew the answer?

In 2007 there were few or no covered blast pens in Indian airfields for fighters like in most Pak air bases. These covered blast pens are specially constructed E-shaped double bays which are generally either 150 feet (46 m) or 190 feet (58 m) wide and 80 feet (24 m) front-to-back, accommodating aircraft for safe-keeping against bomb blasts and splinters during enemy air-attacks. Here's what I mean - a pic from Pakistan's air base which I will not name....

You can clearly see the blast pens.

Now all forward airbases in India have fortified covered blast pens for their aircraft.
Dude, the pictures of IAF stations i posted all had HAS even in 2007. Here are a couple of examples.

@OrionHunter , here bro, you can see MiG-21s parked outside their HAS which are opened from both sides.

.
So, do the IAF bases now have a blanket cover.
It's an inquisitive thread, not some stick matching contest.

Before I could answer @Irfan Baloch has already given you one of the reasons.

That being aside, I was amused to find you posting photographs of 9 years back. I can post plenty of photos of your deployments, all old, who cares?

Yet you claim the bold portion! Simply amusing .....

@Joe Shearer you were right ..... again

.
You said it.

@Windjammer

Windy, you've been the equivalent of our ranjeet long enough for us to appreciate someone who brings so much unforced laughter and humour into our lives. Do you ask this seriously, even though you can see for yourself where the taxi paths end up? Have you not, ever, bothered to ask yourself what those Y-shaped structures are? Do you not remember the opening moves of 1965' air war?

@hellfire

He's been on my ignore list because of his bumptiousness, but I have to admit his very high-class entertainment value.
I respected your posts till now but your above post just brought it all down... @Windjammer is one of the very well informed and educated guys of PDF...And I am sure he has seen a lot more than ordinary posters of PDF and know things very well...!
If you don't want to answer any question Sir, then don't but Please don't insult senior posters like you who are are very well educated in their respective field and from whom we can learn a lot..!
Thanks

Indeed what Irfan Baloch said is the ground situation today, back in 2007 it wasn't so grievous. The first attack on such a facility took place in 2011.....but i suggest you tag the so called professional and vice versa and continue with the apt case of blind leading blind. :enjoy:

PAF F-16 parked in open...
f_163-sarzameenpak.blogspot.com.jpg
this pic is of paf falcons deployed in turkey for anatloian eagle exercises. secondly it is not always that paf parks the plane inside the tarmac. they are sometimes oarked in the open but the google pix reveal that in iaf the tendency of parking the jets in open is higher.

.
Where do you jokers come from.........posting pictures of an International exercise....that too from Turkey.
you really are an idiot beyond repair....

^^ i don't think that those terrorists drag the aircraft out of hanger and blow it in outside...

.
Because Google Map images are real time, you can even see them taking off/landing sometimes. Sarcasm aside, the concern is valid, as it gives away the deployed squadron at any specific airfield.

That is not too far off...once the Google Terra Bella satellite constellation is up

apart from the last pic all the other pix were of the air crafts just landed on paf base while being delivered to PAF. first and the third pic were of the batch of flcons delivered by usaf. just landed at paf base. second pic is of the falcons from jordan just landed at paf base. the last pic however, depicts the incompetence of paf and pn staff.

@Windjammer,
parking aircrafts at open is a common practice...

in any modern air force, parking air crafts in open is a common practice. u can see dozens of fighter jets parked outside in US bases, or in IAF bases, PLAAF bases, RAF bases, IsAF bases..

we have learnt from bitter experience that we are facing asymmetric warfare where a conventional emeny is happily using proxies to specifically target strategic targets that pose danger to its ambitions.

hence our assets are now being better protected. contrast that to India ,, apart from that sham Pathankot attack (where the jets were already moved before the stage drama) India has not faced any such direct threat to their airports,

I will also add to the fact that our airports also have little walls and other form of cover for the defenders / aircrew if in case the terrorists manage to penetrate the perimeter defence and threaten them and their aircraft directly.

although our Indian posters in PDF say that the attacks on Pakistani airbases have nothing to do with India but their national security adviser openly gloats over funding and supporting both BLA (attack on radar installation in Baluchistan) and TTP saying he will pay them ten times more than their request to bleed Pakistan.

unless India faces the similar threat , it sees no need for heightened state of security that Pakistan has to have
good to know that u like our staged dramas but i would like to say that we are not of your level yet .. ur dramas are still unmatched.

indian aircrafts are parked in outside may be because there some other secret IAF have to hide under the hangers... if u look at any mordern air forces, air base, u can see many jets parked out side. it is a common practice.

and for the video of ajit doval talking about offensive defence strategy at vivekananda foundation in 2011. he give that speech when he was Director of vivekananda foundation. that time he didn't even know that he will one day become NSA of india. and you are linking him for the attack on ur military base?? u are seriously out of ur mind??
and for pathankot attack, we didn't remove the aircraft from the air base, DSC and garud commandos of IAF prevented the terrorists from entering the place were air crafts were parked.. indian security personals were successful in preventing a catastrophe unlike pak secrity forces, who let the terrorists to damage the air crafts. don't blame us for your failure.

They are jealous of the FACT that inspite of the fact that the terrorists came inside the base
We managed to prevent them from damaging even a single aircraft

Though we lost brave soldiers in the process

And you must be one of those MORONS who sat watching Jupiter for six months.
Hey genius, do you know what SATELLITE is and what the subject her is being discussed. :pleasantry:

Read my post again, slowly, deliberately ... one of the reasons. Engaging you in a meaningful discussion is futile. I got your measurement in the last thread over foxbat/atlantique.

On one hand you claim its not "stick measurement" on other your every thread is that. Questioned closely you go off on a tangent and deflect. See your above post.

Your thread over Foxbat? What was that? An information dissemination attempt? You made a thread claiming the F-16s to be the hunters but are yet to post a kill of an Indian Mig-25 by your 'hunter'. Told you then, telling you now: I don't care about your theories. I looked at facts. And the fact is - your photographs are of 2007.

Adampur and Izzatnagar are underground fields. The latter perhaps the largest in Asia. We are not bothered by security issues. It's not as if aircrafts are getting destroyed left and right.

Additionally zoom to Chandigarh afb. There is a Mig27 in one corner outside a blast pen!!! It never moves! Get it Mr Brightness Inc? Use the grey matter and think why the cockiness! Ask nicely, you may be told.

And FYI? Do a research on NTRO. Your satellite conundrum will be answered on the Indian side which you so brazenly have titled this thread yet are getting into the layout of an AFB.

Like you said, get a life!

Anyways whatever stokes your ego. Carry on! Cheers!

Bailing out

@Spy Master Go through the link below. And seriously ponder over why this gentleman is raising the same question again and again if he is so well informed! (You will find he is a member of the said discussion then also; the thread is about satellites, please tell me where has he posted of the satellite in the post #1)

@Joe Shearer tagging you as he wants me to tag you .. lol. Was actually talking about the 7 lac guy .. saw you were having fun with him.

Very well-informed and educated? Don't make me laugh. He has seen nothing. He is the almighty bluff who used to open posts with the statement that he had just got off the phone from speaking to the PA spokesman - all the way from England.

And our profiles are not even close.

good to know that u like our staged dramas but i would like to say that we are not of your level yet .. ur dramas are still unmatched.

Don't get upset, but you are speaking to an officer and a gentleman. He deserves our courtesy. By all means, tell him that he is wrong, if you seriously think so, but please do that with the courtesy that he has earned.

I was a little upset to read the tone of your mail, to be honest.
