Vietnamese controlled Islands from many hundred year ago, there was no troubles with China in the past when Qing Dynasty was much more stronger than Vietnam. Greedy KMT claimed from 1948.

We have right to build infrastructure there event far more, from 1900s.

Our claim is rightful at all. Qing dynasty's Canton governor had said in the past that Islands is not belong to China. China invaded and stolen our Islands from 1974 - 1988. This is aggressor invasion.

TPP works for you or not, I do not know from today. But, the milking part seems to be working at the moment.

Pitting one big power against the other is relatively safe so long as you do not play the two sides and keep faithfully attached to only one side -- like Japan does. But, when you make your geopolitical attachment so clear, it becomes a trap in itself and it might be quite costly to get out of it -- let's say if one day Vietnam decides to orbit back to China's sphere.

If we fail to unify sub Mekong, so will be in that trouble, but you cant stop VN to unify it like 1979 cos US is not on your side any more.

And sub Mekong united is strong and big enough to counter all threat
