Japan, Korea, Israel and Singapore are four most successful countries other than western countries.

Chinese govt is learning Korea and Singapore heavily due to similar background and culture.

there are two most important policies by Korea: promoting Kpop (soft power) and concentrate its resources on giant companies like Samsung, LG, Hyundai, blabla.

Until now, Korea is very successful.

And Chinese govt is learning from Korea in concentrating resources on some giant companies.

I think in the near future, Chinese govt will learn from Korean govt on promoting Cpop.

@Chinese-Dragon i think he's diverting the topic now

@esolve @EAsian :lol:

Korea is SO amazing that South Korea is occupied by tens of thousands of American troops, and North Korea is basically owned by China and Russia (who provide all of their food and electricity).

The entirety of Korea is basically under the control of foreigners.

And Fat Kim is one step away from destroying Seoul (with artillery or nukes), which is right next to the North Korean border, and contains over half the entire South Korean population. Which means basically the end of South Korea.

Yet @EAsian was in the other thread, insulting Chinese people and boasting about how strong and "brave" Koreans are. (Which no doubt explains why the entirety of Korea is dominated by foreigners).

Here is a question though. The entire world has heard of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, and Jet Li. But can they name even one single Korean actor?

Maybe, but probably in a different way, and not in current times. China has 4000+ yrs continuously recorded history, longest in the human world, Twenty-Four Histories (二十四史), aka dynasty governments released China history records, record numerous exciting stories across 5000 yrs, no mentioned the huge amount of stories recorded from non-government sources in history. Moreover, modern China is also full of stories covering every corner of human mentality. We don't lack stories, we don't even lack the talented people to tell the story in a wonderful way, what we lack is a proper system. We don't want to copy Korea, Japan, or even Hollywood, we can borrow the essence in their show, but insist our own. We are very very unique in a very unique way in this world. Every time when I read The Records of the Grand Historian by Sima Qian, I always think that how wonderful if the story can be translated into a movie.

This song is not good. There are tones of good Chinese songs, which few foreigners ever heard.

AWESOME! Btw, CPOP is very popular in Japan, especially Chinese power romance ballads. Tang Dynasty is a great group btw, thanks for the songs. :)

I'm more fond of old school Chinese sentimental songs. You probably are too young to remember 鍾鎮濤

The reason why K-pop is more popular, my personal view is, their music and dance style is very westernized. Which makes audiences of all the world no hard to enjoy them. While on the other hand, Chinese songs contain Chinese culture ingredients. Most westerner couldn't comprehend them. But I think there is no problem for Japanese or Vietnamese to accept Chinese songs.

Another song from Tang Dynasty band.

I don't know what the korean style is, but according to ur description on it, my question is: why I want to hear korean copy of western music/songs, while not to hear the original one?

"on that day" from the movie"world without thieves", by Yang Kun

Don't get me wrong, the Korean Chinese are great people, and I love them, they are my brothers and sisters.

But those Kimchis from the US colony, nope.

Here is one of our top experts of the second artillery corps, and she is an ethnic Korean and absolutely loyal to her motherland China and CPC.

Because the K-pop mixes some new ingredient in it. For instance, fancy dances and good look dancers, By the way, no offence, I still believe K-pop fans represent immaturity.

it is true that the Kpop music is very westernized, but it is not western music. Modern western music seems to me either gangsta rap or country music. At my school they play rap music during welcoming events.

I swear all expats living in China love this particular song for some reason,It's a safe recommandation for any foreigner who wants to try some Chinese songs.
