So, it seems we are set to see Yanan 2.0 coming... Whom they will be purging this time?

Some times these days, I am glad I'm stuck out of China.

For those unaware... It was during that Yanan rectification when Gao, and Rao, the two leaders of party's hardcore rightist wing, and political godfathers of Xi's father were purged, for reasons that the two were way too crazy even by Mao's own standards, and tried to make the country into a complete, cargo cult style copy of USSR, down to using Russian as a state language, and copying Soviet constitution 1-to-1.

If Xi wants to "rectify" somebody with a big cudgel, why would he announce it for all soon to be rectified to see? You don't announce a surprise attack to the enemy.

What's striking is that Guo Shengkun is on board, he is by far not a Xi's loyalist.

Something big has to come to help save the CCP's face with all the debacles it has gotten into this year and all the anti-China sentiments brewing globally except for very few selected nations who are unconditional allies of China by hook or by crook.
