Okay Guys So As You Know That Since The News That No Oil Found In Kekra 1 The Whole Nation Including Me Is Feeling Pretty Depressed and Despondent. But I Want To Tell You That If We Can Work A Little Hard Certain Developments Nationally and Internationally Can Favour Us We Can Attract Multi Billion Dollar Exports,Investments And Create Millions Of New Jobs In 1 to 2 Years

Now You Know That Due To Rising Production Costs China Has Been Relocating It's Industries To Low Cost Locations.Mostly This Has Been To ASEAN Countries.

However The Trade War Started By US President Donald Trump Has Greatly Accelerated This Process.Donald Trump Has Imposed 10% to 25% Tariffs On Practically All Exports From China To Which China Responded With Similar Tariffs To US Exports. Here Is The Short Story

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China–United_States_trade_war

https://www.china-briefing.com/news/the-us-china-trade-war-a-timeline/

Now Because Of This Importers In Both Countries Have Started To Divert Their Orders To Other Low Cost Locations Vietnam Brazil and Mexico Have Benefited Greatly Uptil Now.

Apart From This The Trump Administration Has Already Terminated Turkey's GSP Status And Is Also Going To End That Of India.

https://www.npr.org/2019/03/05/700345593/india-becomes-trumps-latest-trade-target

Also Trump Has Decided To Review The GSP Status Of Indonesia and Thailand

https://economictimes.indiatimes.co...on-indias-gsp-review/articleshow/68860840.cms

But Pakistan's GSP Status Was Renewed Last Year

https://timesofislamabad.com/13-Mar-2018/us-renew-gsp-scheme-for-pakistan

Now The Trade Between USA and China Is Somewhere In The Region Of $675 to 700 Billion. If Pakistan Were To Divert Just 2% Of This Trade It Means Nearly $14 Billion Extra!!!!!

And Because Many Competitors Might Lose Their Preferential Tariff Treatment This Means Pakistan Gets Something Of An Open Field

Apart From This An Undervalued Rupee and Now Surplus Electricity Means Pakistan Is In A Great Position To Benefit. The Only Issue That Is A Hurdle Is The Export Capacity That Has Been Decimated By The Anti Pakistan Policies Of PPP and PML N To Destroy Or Industry In The Past 10 Years

But Now With IK In Charge We Can Hope For The Best. Two Steps Taken By PTI Has Been Excellent

1.The Decision To Give Subsidy In Order To Bring Utility Prices Down For Five Major Export Industries That Was Announced By Asad Umar In First Mini Budget

2.This Decision By Government To Grant SEZ Status To Chinese Export Units That Relocate in Pakistan

https://tribune.com.pk/story/1965803/2-chinese-industrial-units-pakistan-get-special-status/

Now With Just A Little Strategic Planning and Coordination With Industry This Can Free Us From Clutches Of IMF and Debt Trap. We'll Be Trade Surplus Country in No Time.

We are good in textile …. First Pakistan need to make sure China shifts all textile (especially leather textile ) related industries in Pakistan , Instead of exporting RAW leather to China we can make final products in Pakistan , we already have enough trained manpower ..
And I am also hoping for other Industries to fallow.. Let us all hope and Pray Govt take right steps in Right direction..

Let's Make It A Slogan

Tel Nahi Tijarat
Agree , But why not we first build our industry ? Hallal food industry !! Agriculture !! Textile !! Home appliances Etc .. With best standers and quality , Then we can ask them ….. "Tel nahi Tijarat"

We should increase army number and create fortresses at critical location/borders/passes.. By safeguarding our border we then invite Saudi/UAE and other gulf investor to invest in agriculture sector to secure their future/current food supply.. Surplus can be exported to China .... ideals would be rice, dates, zaitoon, sunflower etc. except rice, other crops can be grown on coarse soils and need less water... so govt should lease them lands in south Punjab, Thal, and parts of Khirthar range...

It Looks Like This Trade War With China Isn't Going Any Time Soon

You Would Be Interested To Know That Saudia and GCC Countries Import Halal Poultry From Brazil.A Few Years Back Saudia Banned Brazillian Meat Imports B'Coz Of Certain Hygiene Issues and The Fact That Those Companies Were Processing The Halal Poultry On The Very Machines They Were Processing Pork!!!!!!

We Have A Very Simple Case To Market. We Can Tell The Saudis Look Guys Why Do You Buy Meat From A Far Away Non Muslim Land When There Will Always Be Issues With It.OTOH Here Is A Country On Your Next Door Which Is 97% Muslim And So You Will Have No Doubt That The Meat Is Halal.

Halal Food In GCC Is A Market That Goes Into Tens Of Billions of Dollars

Agriculture don't needs foriegn investment especially in Punjab there aren't any lands to give on lease entire Punjab is under cultivation even thal desert

Actually it is all about quality issue.. Like Air force and military academies have quality so they sen their recruits... previously, our university had standard so they used to come here too.. UAE etc has banned gold imports from Pakistan bcz we add impurity. you are worried about 10 billion $
China imports 60 billion $ meat and 2 billion $ Cheese.. and idk how much Soya they import which need arid soil like corn... then we need R&D.. still we can't produce sugar from root beat etc... in EU sugar from sugar cane is worth 5 times more than of other sources..

We have plenty of govt lands. Plus, small scale farmers can be integrated like under Monsato of US. Plus we need process industry like converting milk into cheese, butter, long life milk, ice cream, chocolate etc powder of international standard.. may be like Amul of india.. our locals like nurpur are limited.. Yummy and Polka perished.. Then there are food drinks, energy bars etc.. only Hilal and candyland and some what mitchels are players but not international one. ..

I remember in 2002 a foreign country (I guess south korea) banned our milk powder due to fungus in it.. it turned out that fungus was present in the diet of cows/buffaloes... we cnat just import our meat.. there is a huge chain/process how animals are bred and raised... how much they walk.. what food they eat.. etc etc

USA is an enemy and it's highly likely that Pakistan will face US sanctions in near future.

CPEC includes industry shift but we should not rely on US whatsoever.

.

Can’t believe PTI is going to this extent. Every country has some sort of protectionist tariffs on their industries. We are shooting ourselves in the foot.
