SC should have given the option of legalising by either sale at market price or auction of the mosque to the highest bidder (let the sects fight each other in a bidding war) and long jail sentences of all those in KMC and the mosque administration involved in kabza.

Mosques for all sects are a business, to generate revenue for their sect and to pay for the luxuries of mosque management.

There would be less hue and cry then and public won't come out either in support. Demolition of the mosque will anger the jahil at large public.

If SC can legalise lands confiscated and built upon by rich and powerful by imposing financial penalties or sale prices, then why not this mosque?

Set a market rate or put it up for auction, instead of demolition.

Same "weird" rituals goes for barelvis and sufi centric areas (SP, Sindh) etc who are in the majority in Pak

Yes, the Shia indeed do have some cult like rituals but the fact remains that no matter how weird those rituals / practices are, they are far less detrimental to the image of Islam as compared to what Najad and Deoband inspired Extremists and fanatics have been doing (in the name of Islam) around the world for the last few decades.

But neither Wahabbis/Deobandis nor Barelvi/Shia are kafir .. There are good Muslims and there are bad Muslims. No sect/group as a whole is evil / misguided
