Sri Lanka Air Force Commander Air Marshal GP Bulathsinghala recently concluded an official visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He was accompanied by his wife, and the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala.
The visit was at the invitation of Air Marshal Abu Esrar, BBP,ndc,acsc, the Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force.
During the visit the Commander called on the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed, the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Muhammad Farid Habib, NBP, ndc, psc, and the Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq in addition to his host, Air Marshal Abu Esrar.
The Commander also visited the National Defence College, the Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Bangladesh Air Force Academy.
Mrs Samanthi Bulathsinghala, the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit also participated in a number of events organized by the Ladies of the BAF Women Association and engaged in a fruitful
dialogue on shared experiences.
The Chairperson spoke at length about the programmes conducted by the SLAF SVU and also gained a new perspective on seeing the activities of the Bangladesh Air Force’s WWA, the Air Force Media Unit reported.
