The title is a lie. It is not possible to resolve loadshedding so quickly, given the situation.

.
Many power plant and Dams are under construction which will be completed in late 2017 or beginning of 2018 so load shedding will be reduce quiet much but to eliminate load shedding it will take few more years

.
current Production capacity can meet the demand .. only 40 % of the govt plant are operational most of the time ...

the loadshedding will end in 2018 but for the limited time .. because 2018 is the election year ...

its not about if its possible or not, its about what year it is and why would it be important. given that it will be the year of re-election. PMLN needs some lollipop to attract votes. They did so by building Metro in Lahore within a year and in 2018 they will do so by reducing the loadshedding and bragging that they fixed the issue.

As a political party, they are entitled to go for every bit of advantage they can create for themselves, and it is up to the people to see through it, or suffer the consequences of not doing so, again.

My analysis is PMLN doesnt need to deliver on any promises, or claimed dates and they will still win elections easily because:
Dekho dekho kaun aya, sher aya sher aya

For "Do" Number people you have "Do" Number rulers too. Lagey raho Ishaq Dar, no tension!

Problem in Pakistan are simple, people only have three political parties to vote for now. Which is great, but here is the problem. Two are Personal Business or family Franchise and doesn't represent anything remotely democratic, third one PTI had a chance, but he blew it, by surrounding himself with every rejected politician.

People get the government they deserve, Sir. It is a well known adage.

PML-N will try everything it can to reduce load shedding. If they achieve that, they will get another turn. Thats why they are in such hurry.

Seriously politicians should stop making statements like we will end outage by blah blah and blah. The one thing these thick skulls do not get is when you have power available people will start using it. Folks will start building companies that will consume power. How much planning did these folks did that by adding X MWs to the system will be a fix of all problems? What if people start buying more ACs because now power is available what if people stop using their small honda gen sets and start to rely on the grid? Now that these politicians cured all the problems with power what if google wants to open a huge data center that demands 250MW of power?

In developed countries they keeping planning the grid expansion tooth and nail so they can keep up with growing demand, or failure of existing plants, or failure of power infrastructure and/or shutting down of existing plants. Here we see politicians fixing all the problems with the waving of their magic hands

Not really. April 2018 are election. Gov't will start running expensive power plants, keeping unit prices low. When PML win election, load shedding will come back again.

So yes, it's not possible to resolve loadshedding without heavy losses, but it is possible to achieve. I think we already have a very high production capacity but it is our transmission lines that cannot support enough power transmission

PML-N will try everything it can to reduce load shedding. If they achieve that, they will get another turn. Thats why they are in such hurry.
March 2018 gov't ends term. April 2018 caretaker. May 2018 new gov't forms.

PML can win entire election just over solving electricity. Of course the common man wouldn't know it'll come back once PML is back in power. But to be honest, any party that comes in power will produce less electricity than March/April.
