KARACHI- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah today took serious notice of reports regarding illegal influx of Afghan refugees in Hyderabad and their involvement in land grabbing, smuggling of arms and narcotics. He directed the Hyderabad DIG to send back such illegal migrants within three days. The chief minister was presiding over a high level meeting on law and order at Chief Minister House. The meeting reviewed the targeted operation in Karachi and discussed the counter strategy to fight with terrorists. The chief minister said that the influx of illegal people including Afghan refugees was a big threat to the people and installations in Sindh. He urged the federal government to stop the registration of such people.
He directed all the DIGs of Sindh police to beef up the security in their respective districts. The meeting was attended by DG rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar, Sind Police IG Iqbal Mehmood, Karachi Additional IG Shahid Hayat, Advocate General Abdul Fatah Malik, Prosecutor General Shair Muhammad Sheikh, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem and others.
