I want to know an important thing. (I have read almost all topics on this forum and have been reading from the last 2 years.) My question is logical but very simple.
I have seen the Indian Airforce, Navy and Ground military forces continuously purchase lots of new weapons, jets and hardware. They are not only purchasing new hardware/weapons/jets but purchasing it very frequently Delivery/handing over of these items is mostly done on time. Now my point is that what does Pakistan do about it?
Except for dreams of JF 17 (Chinese hardware), that we will obtain as soon as they are manufactured, there are still no signs of availability of new aircrafts. We are boasting of the radar missile system engine that the JF 17 would carry but there is nothing more. How can these jets, who have not even had a chance of flight, be compared to others? Whenever there is a talk about India’s state of the art aircrafts, Pakistanis start chattering about man behind the machine.
Where are our new F-16s? Why is Pakistan not opting for Rafale and other powerful jets? Rafale may be expensive but what about the F-16s? If we do a comparison on how many F-16s we have had or have it would be something like as follows:
We acquired only 46 over a period of 24-25 years. We have only a few latest high-tech F-16s currently (still without BVR and MLU on paper). Compared to the 60-80 Su30 MKi, Mirage 2000 and Mig 29 that India has, our numbers are nothing.
I read that India purchased more Su30 Mirage and also has an offer from the US to buy F-18s. Compared to this we have nothing. When we start getting beaten up, we start emphasizing on the importance of man behind the machine.
India keeps buying more and more weapons of all kinds and we are still daydreaming about newer more powerful weapons. I am not blaming PAF. But I just want to ask that the JF 17s and JF 10s that we have in our arsenal have not even been tested. They have not been given a proper run to see how they fly and behave in the air under various circumstances. Then how can we blow our own trumpet that those machines are superb?
Different kinds of weapons, aircrafts and war gadgetry is being purchased by India and things are delivered on time as well. On the other hand, PAF has old F-16 and Mirage. In the last 10 to 15 years Pakistan has acquired nothing and has only broadcasted news of the ‘wish list’. Till now we couldn’t get our hands on IL 78. We have 1 AWACS but India is progressing far more in this regard than us. Why are we not purchasing new hardware (other than Chinese)?
Where is our 40 refb Cobra gunships etc
80 % budgt of Pakistan (for these forces) and result "OLD WEAPONS". Our economy is not that weak that would prevent us from buying new items for our arsenal. . And this being the case, why are we quiet and not acquiring stuff to keep our forces up to date?
WE HAVE EVERYTHING OLD! *Scream*
