PESHAWAR – The Shuhada Forum, comprising victim families of Army Public School (APS) tragedy on Monday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan to quit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for not helping inquiry of the tragedy despite passage of several weeks.
Talking to a press conference here, the affected mothers said that PTI chief Imran Khan had promised to hold inquiry within 16-days of the carnage but the provincial government has yet to take any decision, they deplored. “Why Imran not holding sit-in for their children,” they questioned and asked the PTI chief to quit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on failure of his government in the province.
They demanded holding of the judicial inquiry into the incident and called for exposing the perpetrators of the incident. The Shuhada Forum gave 48-hour deadline to the provincial government to order judicial inquiry into the incident otherwise they would hold sit-in, they warned. The affected families demanded award of highest military award to martyred children and privileges to affected families. The Shuhada Forum would hold a rally in Peshawar on Tuesday.
