i think they will in time , they are only waiting to see how obama plays out his hand , but it's not a big deal anyway , i myself posted a question on yahoo answers like 2 years ago there i predicted that the whole ukrainian conflict is about eastern ukraine joining russia and western ukraine joining the EU

Yeah and one of the leaked diplomatic cables said basically the same thing, about how a Ukrainian attempt to move westward could lead to a civil war

I think its like a Chinese attempt to retake Taiwan, or war between the US and Iran. Some conflicts have such a short fuse that they're practically bound to happen eventually

.
... And this comes from a Chinese who has family who are Americans. :china:

We'll be rounding them up for a quick trip to Gitmo. :usflag:What are you guys doing here in the west anyway ? Why leave the greatness that is China ?

although a war between the US and iran is so unlikely at this point it is not comparable to the situation in ukraine

I'm not sure what's unlikely at this point. If someone had told me 16 months ago that there would be a major ground war in Europe in the next year, I would've thought they were crazy.

It only takes one incident to start something - especially if a lot of people on one or both of the sides are almost hoping for it

an iranian-american war is the most unlikely at this point , on one side you got obama who is obviously not craving for a war with iran , on the other you have a couple of mexican-americans who want more sanctions on iran

True, but the 2016 race has already started. Its quite possible a Republican candidate could win next term - especially since they're going to be hammering the Democrats on perceived foreign policy failures. Low gas prices could also have people less interested in the Democrats' economic policies.

Who's this referring to, exactly?

Taiwan is a province of China. China taking Taiwan is the same as Russia taking Crimea.

Iran is a big country. Almost 2 million square kilometres. Iran is no Iraq. As for Ukraine, it is essentially a fringe part of Russia, it is NOT in the core of Europe.

But it's also unlikely the republicans make the same mistake that Romney did and mention iran in their run up to the elections, they probably won't mention israel either and instead focus on the US of A instead , that's my perception of course but i can see with the nuclear talks in place and a new president no one has an interest in iran anymore , not to mention the ongoing conflicts in ukraine and syria which are overshadowing iran

i was referring to bob menendez or other new money white hispanics in america
