Since when was escalation of PAF knee jerk? Knee jerk would be if at the moment IAF intruded, PAF chased the jets down into Indian airspace and shot them down. That would be knee jerk.
Instead PAF waited a day for everything to cool down and then did their thing by planning everything. That's not knee jerk and even you know that.

Escalation/retaliation needs to be a surprise. You guys weren't expecting Pakistan to attack at dawn didn't you? It was a surprise. Don't fall for his propaganda. There is a huge difference in the design of the F-16s and the SU-30s. How can an anyone mistake it between the two fighters and to top it off Indian army personnel happens to be the eye witness.

Anyways I agree that Modi is a danger to the region. This is blatantly apparent. He had built up a narrative and got caught out as all illogical narratives do.
There are 3 possibilities that he might have acted the way he did.
A. Improve public opinion by bashing a small country which has back fired when the PAF retaliated yesterday.
B. He knew this would happen and could use the impasse to postpone elections. This would be done till he gets a more better outcome to show to the public that he is so good for them.
C. He us being led by forces unknown to create strife in the region knowingly . I think this is the least likely as external forces on both sides apparently have been calling for peace.
Either case fthe outcome of this impasse will deal with him. I dont think the Army would react but the public will and he will suffer a defeat in the elections which would be his political death. Realistically this is the most likely scenario rather than the army taking over.

Indian government/ media was not embarrassed. Indian government wanted safety of the pilot who fell on your side. As expected your government jumped to beat your drums and exposed the Pilot captured. Now he has to be returned safely otherwise you will be on sanctions.

Indian Government had confirmed MiG21 is missing with Pilot. That seems to be true. Because you don't have any other pilot arrested so it must be MiG21.

There is no humiliation boss, Our soldier fought bravely chasing your fighters. What did your soldiers did when we dropped bombs in your territory, None of them dared even to chase us. Win/Loss in the war is very normal. You guys did not even put up a fight when we attacked. I feel proud for the pilot and our airforce.
