should IAF consider Pak-DA in future ?

The PAK DA (or PAK-DA), is a next generation strategic bomber which is being developed by Kazan Aircraft Production Association for Russia.

The PAK DA will be a new, stealthy, strategic bomber and is expected to enter service in the 2025-2030 timeframe.

The Bomber will make Its first flight By 2015 -2017.

. . .
At the end of the day i do not see any bugger threat other then China and Pak , so why we need a long range bomber ... but no one has seen future so may we may look upon PAK DA as our primary bomber. though it looks very sleek

. . .
India has absolutely no need for such a weapon.

PAKDA is being developed as a replacement for the aging Tu-95 Bears, which were developed specifically with the purpose of bombing deep inside America.

India does not face any threats that warrant something like the PAKDA.

No, because it don't fit in our doctrine! India has no first strike policy and the only possible enemy that we need long range for is China, with all main targets on their eastern side. In that case, long range ballistic missiles, SSBNs and bigger carriers are more important, than a few bombers. Especially SSBNs are the most important asset for Indias deterence against China, because they are not visible. A Pak Da squadron would be based on a single airbase, which can be observed and China would no pretty well when they starts. Ballistic, can be more flexible, depending on the launch platform and are way more difficult to intercept. When they are also on an SSBN, anyway out in the deep see, it will be very difficult to detect them before launch, even for such a big navy like PLAN.

We need this becaus e god forbid if we go to war with China we should be able to take the war to China. If we can do that China can realize that India can actually destroy key targets.
