Investing to a hostile country is big mistake. Especially in manufacture and infrastructure fields. China may make some money from the investments. But India would gain much much more. More tax, more infrastructures, more skilled workers, more know how.

The results are: 1, Made-in-India will compete with Made-in-China in global market. Considering US and its allies will impose more and more restrictive measures on Chinese products, China will be in a disadvantaged position in the competition. and will eventually lose more money than it gained from India investments. 2, India domestic market will grow bigger. Which will lure more money and make Chinese companies rely on it more. It's literally a vicious cycle for China.

There is a transition point at which a country could become an economy with a healthy ecology. So far India hasn't reached that point. China should not be the one that lifts India to the positon.

Invest in Pakistan. Invest anywhere except hostile countries.
they give loans to poorer countries with difficult terms so that china can take their lands as it did in humbantoata srilanka , srilankan land is now in chinese chinese.

india is not srilanka or uganda, we are not very eager to get investment from enemy .

Going forward Chinese investments directly or indirectly will slow down to india.

Government dont have to ban.

Corporations now observing how man child modi throw tamper tantrum.

It wont be just Chinese companies. Many foreign manufacturers who depend on china based supply chain will be reluctant to invest in india.

Instead they will go to Vietnam or Indonesia. Unfortunately india will be biggest losser as Vietnam and Indonesia will keep eating india's lunch.

That wont help average indian people.

Did Vietnam stop trade and investment from China? Its not like Vietnam and China has no issues.

Sometimes you have to pragmatic and think the bigger picture.

In spite of all hostile moves from US in recent years, China still welcomes investments from US. Last year Tesla built a car factory in Shanghai. Apple phones still has good busniness in China even though Huawei phones are banned in US.

Compared with Indian government, we can see how mature and sophisticated Chinese government is. Indians always yell to defeat China. Never gonna happen.

Do you know Srilanka was asking India and other countries to leash Humbatoata port?to deal with their debt crisis? India declined ,no country was willing other than china, China not only helped srilanka deal with their debt crish better but even srilanka earned 800m $ hard cash through that port .
But go off using your broken argument.

That's because the US is still economically stronger. I remember a few years back Chinese citizens are doing the same boycott nonsense to Japan and South Korea, and the smashing of products. That's when I was pro-China but had a fundamental shift of views on China's ultra-nationalism and leverage on smaller neighboring countries, and the same nonsense is happening in India now.

Chinese government never limited investments from Japan or S.Korea. I'm not talking about ordinary people boycotting movement. In India case, banning Chinese products or investments movement is dominated by Indian government.

.
The majority of China investment oversea is infrastructure with world best value price ratio, and sometimes, very high hidden subsidy.

Why should China help India, an enemy nation whose entire media were mobilized using lies and extreme hostility against China?

Indian should be condemned to shyt on streets for next 100 years.

It's the same coin, just more subtlety. Without closing an eye by the Chinese government, you think actions like smashing cars and brainwashing of kids can be tolerated? In the eyes of foreigners it's the same, especially for ordinary Japanese and South Koreans.
