Japan may have a problem with its new prime minister.

Abe talked with Obama over the phone after the election. After the phone conversation, Abe told a gathering of Japan's business leaders that he just talked to George W. Bush, the president of the US.

This left people worried, since Abe apparently isn't aware of who the president of the US is when the strengthening of diplomatic ties with the US is the cornerstone of Japan's anti-China policy.
