Those who follow the Taliban (and even AQ) should know that they were given selective safe haven by Iran as well (and by Pakistan, of course.) The Taliban, like any insurgency hoping to survive an invasion, are realists and pragmatists above all else.

Hope to see even greater diversity in its ranks.
