Shahed-136 - Tracking usage & expanding understanding.

Confirmed by Ukainian MOD, they lost 2 Jets today who were working in Central Ukraine, the wreckages have been found ,apparently these were working to intercept Shahed UAS, this leaves a total of THREE jets down in last two days due to this activity leading to this image.

Why? Its not an American weapon. And the Ukrainians have hit Russian soil many times. In fact they just did it again today hitting a warehouse filled with ammo in Belgorod. So using a Shahed Ukrainian version would be the best weapon to use against Russia in the long term.
US weapon manufacturers dictate the US policies, including the funds. And domestic Ukrainian weapons isn't that interesting for them.

we beat everyone to that , if i recall Israel was also lucky they didn't lost a F-16 to one of our drone and their pilot was half second from going int debris field before he did a very hard turn and pulled out. guess f-16 being inherently unstable saved the guy

I think its first time in history that a drone destroyed a fighter jet

Same problem that makes Israel pull it's fighters in the air, is forcing Ukraine to act in similar way, with much less air resources.

LOL! Thats not how procurement works. If that were true, you be seeing 30 Zumwalt destroyers, 50 to 60 Seawolf class submarines, 500 Comanche helos, 1000 F-22s, 1000 Crusader artillery, etc. U.S. weapons manufacturers says do this, the U.S. government does that eh?

Sustainability is most important, All those things can be repaired and reconstituted. Reapeted strikes require affordability. For Ukraine 100,000k is not afford for America it can be.

Same with Russia attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure with drones and missiles have to be repeated to have a long term affect.
We really don't know how much it would cost Ukraine to build it in the long run, but I'm betting it still be worth it for Ukraine to finally have a long range weaponry that NATO has yet to provide to hit deep into Russia in the long run.

If they could print the money as well, yeah ,sure.

Just look at your current state, your people live in poverty, biggest number of homeless people, weakest health insurance, not to mention your national debt, yet your officials brag about having the biggest military funds more than the whole world! it's a pure corruption, your people are desperate, that's why a clawn like Trump gets elected.

The low RCS of this drone forced the MIG29 to come close more than usual.

Guys, do you think that this is true?

Personally, i tend to believe this, but i an not confident or certain.

From Syria, Iran and Russia have formed a more advanced and committed integratability of their militaries in specific war hotspots.

No, Russians were trained in Iran, and there is nothing special about these drones that would require anything further, except the US/Israel/Ukraine needs for propaganda.

Big doubt, nothing special about the systems that would require such things. It looks like they are using them in a more simple way of "point and shoot", and not in some network based warfare that would require lots of practice and time.

What I believed would be a slow day yesterday night, turned out it was not. Their didn't appear to be any UAS launches on October 14th. But at night, a wave was used.

Attacks mainly centered in Zaporizhzhia and Krivoy Rog

An interesting clip surfaced, that is purported be a Geran-2/Shahed-136 used against a small column of UKR troops.

It was hard to see at first but you can see the projectile coming in a high rate of speed.

What is interesting is this is the second video now showing recon filming of strikes near the front line that has surface in last few days. This one looks like it hit the road directly adjacent to the vehicle, likely resulting in a vehicle kill or at the very least, damaged. Also some poor infantry mean is likely KIA.

Hard to know for sure it was a Shahed, but if so it would indicate they are also going to use these in a frontline attack role or backline interdiction. @Nevsky To use these drones in this role would be the most difficult, compared to attacking static infrastructure, this requires UAV recon, and Shahed coordination to be able to direct strikes on targets that can move at any time. I think this level of use requires alot more training time, and skill that wasn't ready to be deploy before because the Russian operators simply have not had much time to play around with these tools. But overtime they will become more experienced and skilled and use of direct frontline attack will grow.
